When the wind is playing with your hair, the clouds are slowly passing through the mountains and the smell of fresh soil is hanging in the air, that's when the secretly most beautiful time of the hiking season is starting. In the Rotwandhaus there's a refreshment for the last meters up to the 1884 m high Rotwand. After so much foresight and two peaks in the calves, a soft night camp in the Albert Link hut suddenly seems very seductive.

If you really want to wake up, jump into the Spitzingsee shortly after leaving, or at least throw a handful of mountain water in your face. And you can think again of the lunch snack in the beautiful Upper Firstalm. If the weather permits, Brecherspitz with its exposed ridge crossing is an absolute must. At the Bodenschneid summit, breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the panoramic view before starting the descent to the Tegernsee.
