This is a route that goes around Picos de Europa, the Andara range and to Castilla y León. Day 1: From Cangas de Onís to the free refuge of Prao Cubo.It was going to be a long day and we knew it. We had everything packed, a lot of food, and we were ready to ride pretty much all day.We started riding through the northest part of the Picos de Europa. We crossed the Andara range and we climbed to the highest point of the route, the Casetón de Andara (1700m). We hiked through rocky paths and pushed our bikes up the steepest tarmac roads I’ve seen in a long time. I think we rode as much as we walked, but the views we got were just amazing. We got to Cosgaya and we had the last climb before Prao Cubo. The rain started and the path to get there became way too slippery to ride with the bikes loaded, but we made it just on time and we could shelter for the night. We could hear the rain and everything was great and peaceful until some rodents joined us. I had them next to my left ear and to avoid having them next to me all night, I left the bag with the trash on the floor so they could play with it and leave me alone. It worked and it was time to rest a bit for the next day. Day 2: From Prao Cubo to another free refuge that we found close to Sabero. We got up and it was still raining so we waited a bit until the clouds left. We started riding the last bit of climb to the Collado de Llesba - Mirador del Oso before going down on the tarmac road to Prioro. We crossed Castilla y León following singletracks and gravel paths with views of the southern part of Picos de Europa. We stopped at Cistierna to get food and kept riding until we passed Sabero. We found a free refuge close to the caves and we decided to stop and stay there for the night.Day 3: from the refuge to Cangas de Onís.The first part of the day was awesome; sunrise, rocky singletracks and great views. There are a couple of big climbs, and big downhills. The first descend that goes to Oseja de Sajambre is great at the beginning and then it gets wild with rocks and water. The one that goes all the way down to Amieva is not really rideable. Then it's just the last part until you get to Cangas de Onís: last short steep climbs, singletracks to go down and a bit of road.
