There was a mill in almost every village or between several villages. The mill buildings are inhabited and, together with the rivers, are well worth seeing.

I was very lucky to speak to the residents of the Gielow mill and admired their collections, the extensive park with the works of art. Very impressive. Recommendable!

We were in no man's land, between the territory of the GDR and FRG, today the Green Belt. Absolutely as it used to be and not sooo suitable for cyclists. Then it got cooler and an icy wind came up. A refreshing ride into Easter.
