After an opulent dinner in the Burrweiler Mühle, we walked through the vineyards back to Rhodt under the full moon.

At the beginning of the Palatinate weekend, we first drove up to the Rietburg after arriving in the afternoon. Yes, went ... with the chairlift. After a stay in the outside restaurant on the castle terrace, we followed the serpentines back to Rhodt on foot.

Above the Rietburg, the Hardtrand of the Palatinate Forest attracts with an extensive network of hiking trails through mixed forest with a high proportion of chestnut and pine trees. Again and again there are wide views of the surrounding green hills and the Rhine plain.

The Elwedritsche had hidden themselves so well that we couldn't find any other than those at the well.
