Great pictures, Rita! This is the Limburg and Teuven countryside. Breathtaking views with green meadows, forested hills, friendly small villages and free-standing (half-timbered) farms. Beautiful herd of Mergelland sheep and Lakenvelder cattle.

It was a good idea to copy Lee & Chester's walk.

Lakenvelder cattle. This is a very old Dutch breed that was bred specifically for the country estates of the nobility. You can already see them in 14th century paintings. They are red or black, but always with the characteristic white band.
