My first LtD Gravel Raid, yay! The three days in and around Hellenthal were a wonderful gravel party. The German Eifel is super beautiful, and routes (made by Gijs Bruinsma) meander through this area. Of course, the men behind the event have made it into a cool camping set-up with lots of food, drinks…
I was also allowed to be there. It was one big party. Top routes (tough though...), beautiful weather and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Fantastic atmosphere and great environment, nighttime fun did make for somewhat brackish Sunday morning...
And oh yeah, don't want to be a whiner, but the basic hamburger for dinner didn't quite fit the roaring food claim in the announcement
Can you still cycle this route well in this period, at the end of October?
With some drier weather for sure. There are some singletracks that are a bit tricky with wet winter weather, but most of the trails are easy to drive gravel paths. If you throw 40mm+ tires under it, you'll be fine.
