The Dalby Söderskog National Park was established in 1918 to preserve what was then described as the southern Swedish deciduous forest.
In reality, Dalby Söderskog consisted of both actual forest and overgrown pasture. Around 1900 a high forest of oaks and beech trees grew here over a shimmering green carpet.
The national park is most beautiful in spring. The intense, almost exotic blossom in yellow and white is a joyfully expected spring sign. Now is the time to go out into nature with a woolen blanket and picnic basket for the first time in the year.
