Wild and romantic rocky mountains, a roaring mountain stream, emerald green water and a fabulous view at the top - the Wolfsklamm is a true natural gem. A hike through is pleasantly cool on hot summer days and not wetter than anywhere else on rainy days - so always worthwhile.

    Open: May to October
Admission: Adults 5 euros, children from six years 1.50 euros.

Almost the entire route passes over artificially created stairs and walkways.

An early arrival is recommended, as the paid parking space (4 € / day) is quite small. Multi-day stays are possible. For this purpose, one day passes are simply solved n times. The machine only accepts coins. Therefore, bring enough change with you.

A great hiking experience - this can also be good from the free parking lot at the Laurentiuskirche start. Or you just park your car somewhere in town.
In any case, then you have the money for a delicious beer on St. Georgenberg over ... 😉🍺

The Wolfsklamm is always worth a tour !!!
I have certainly walked through it 5 times and was thrilled.
It is worth it at the end of the gorge is further to go to the monastery of St. Georgenberg.
There you can sit comfortably on the terrace and enjoy a delicious apple strudel with vanilla sauce. Back to the valley you have different options. Each one is sexy! :-)

St. Georgenberg is currently closed. The Wolfsklamm is open.
I would not do that in the park, at least not without asking the owners for permission.
Could otherwise be more expensive than the parking lot.
... and definitely not forget good footwear ...

Take bathing shoes and towel! Above this point you can cool off in the river. Water is really cold!

Actually, it should be clear that you do not go with flip-flops in a gorge, sber after the last visit I write it here as a hint below.
After the gorge, you can cool down in the associated Stanserbach, where flip-flops are ok again, better are trekking sandals or bathing shoes.

    St. Georgenberg
The St. Georgenberg Monastery emerged from a hermitage that was first mentioned in writing in 950.

St. Georgenberg is a place of strength and a center of calm. The church is always open and services are held regularly.

In the shade of ancient chestnut trees, the hosts of the St. Georgenberg pilgrimage stop pamper their guests with delicious, traditional dishes from the region.

Walking time from Stans to St. Georgenberg is around one and a half hours. To return you can take the Way of the Cross over the "Weng" or "Maria Tax".

A beautiful gorge with an adventurous path. Slopes over wooden bridges and rock stairs, very close to the water. With spectacular waterfalls in a great setting 😊

Very nice gorge, it is almost worthwhile to go against the stream of visitors. After the gorge you can cool down in the Stanserbach.
