The Thuringian passenger station, the predecessor of the main station, was in operation from 1841 to 1890.
The freight yard in the southern part was expanded into the Thuringian freight yard in 1871.
With the construction of the port railway from Sophienhafen in 1895 and the Halle Klaustor - Hettstedt railway line, the Thuringian railway station developed into a large freight yard.
In 1991 the station and the port railway were stopped.

Beautiful parks with climbing rocks, skate park, playgrounds, volleyball fields and beautiful paths. Should one have seen in Halle.

In winter, the roads at the Thuringian train station are mostly frozen over ❄️
The rest of the port railway line is easier to drive on 👍
