If you take a few hours and make the ring tour, you will have many beautiful views of the Rhine Valley on the way over the Niederwald, including this one here. My tip is, however, really the ring tour, as the masses of visitors usually romp right at the Niederwald Demkmal and you can explore, so a little quieter and more decelerated, the landscape and other sights of the Niederwald.

There you have a wonderful view of the Rhine and you can see the Germania statue very close, which is very beautiful and definitely worth a trip.
Either you take the cable car or you walk up the vineyard. When you walk up, you should note that there is not really any shade there and when the sun shines down it can get exhausting very quickly.
Unfortunately, it is also very crowded there and I would not recommend going there on the weekend, rather during the week.

You can already see them from afar, as they threatened on the coppice. Pretty monumental. The story is well documented in some display boards for those interested. There are plenty of seating and impressive views, but it is also very crowded in good weather. If you are within walking distance of the monument you are quite alone again, as most probably only the way from the train to the monument and back again.

In the 18th century, more precisely in 1788, Karl Maximilian Graf von Ostein had a monopteros built on the Niederwald above Rüdesheim am Rhein, which became part of his newly created park. Even then, his often important guests were enthusiastic about the grandiose view of the Rheingau with its impressive river - the Rhine.
Even today, the view from the Niederwald temple conveys pure Rhine romance. The magnificent view to the south shows the Rhine Valley in its grandeur and uniqueness in every season.
