Wiesloch Mining Trail | Station 19 | The Schlangengrund pond has served as a wetland habitat for endangered amphibians and dragonflies since 2002. 19 dragonfly and 13 amphibian species naturally settled in and around the two-meter-deep, frost-proof pond. A request: In order for the natural development of the pond and its inhabitants to continue, it is important that no dogs bathe in the pond and that it - like the rest of the hiking trail, of course - remains free of litter.
