The castle is really interesting. You should definitely not pass. Already at the bottom of the entrance from the cycle path you will be greeted by old GDR buildings, which reflect the architecture of the time again. Here once the "party school" of the East CDU was housed.

The castle was designed by Daniel Schatz, a pupil of Pöppelmann. The former feudal lords of castle and Kirchscheidungen were Knutonen from 1290 to 1422. Then resided over 300 years of Rockhausen in place. It was followed by the Barons of Hoym and finally the Counts of the Schulenburg. Count Levin von der Schulenburg had from 1722 parts of the castle Burgscheidungen rebuilt to a Baroque residential and retirement seat. The Schulenburgs had the castle until 1945 in possession.
After 1990 the castle Burgscheidungen was in the special assets of the federation. It had been used differently in the GDR. From 1957 it took over the CDU of the GDR as a training center "Otto Nuschke". In 1995 it was sold to the entrepreneur Elias Dächert and the hotelier Karl F. Isenberg. After this sale, the castle, which had often held cultural events in the 1980s, was no longer open to the public until it was acquired by Bernd Artinger in 2008. Today it can be used for events and weddings.
The baroque park is today part of the "garden dream project" in Saxony-Anhalt.
