Individual spikes of the Roc de la Vache slide forward into the valley like viewing pulpits and allow wonderful views of the entire Val d'Annivers, with the villages of Zinal and Ayer in the foreground, as well as Grimenez on the other side of the valley. Towards the end of the valley you look directly at the glacier tongue of the Zinal glacier and from the deep hollow with the mighty lateral moraines you can clearly see how far the glacier has retreated in recent decades. Further to the left you can see the Serrac zone of the Momming Glacier, which stretches over some steep edges, which breaks the ice masses. As a result, the horizontal breaks and crevices are formed.
