The plateau offers a spectacular view to the east over Spirkelbach, south towards Höllenberg plus Luger Tal and west towards Hauenstein and Rauberg-Felsen.
The ideal place to rest and relax, at least when you are, like me, alone on the pillar.
There is only a small, almost 2 meter high rock step to overcome, which should not be a problem for most.

The Spirkelbacher Rauhfels (Rauberger-Felsen) is the large rock massif that runs from east to west on the small Rauhberg. In the west, the climbing rock Otto-Wendel Tower concludes.
A nice picture of the whole massif can be found here:
felsenheimat-pfalz.de/2-lug-bis-hauenstein/hauenstein/spirkelbacher-rauhfelsOn the ascent on the south side, you pass or bypass the rock tunnel, which is well worth seeing.
komoot.de/highlight/1032238On the Rauhfels plateau itself you have a fantastic view towards Hauenstein. (A place to relax)The Rauhberg pillar to the southeast is a separate rock with a 270 degree panoramic view. Another must.
komoot.de/highlight/1125547It's funny that the Rau (h) berg is spelled differently and I couldn't find the right spelling.
Actually there is only the small and large Rauhberg near Spirkelbach. The Rauhberg itself is located northwest of Bruchweiler-Bärenbach.
The latest signs show every few meters: "Spirkelbacher Raufels-Tour"
The three-dimensional map at the cemetery parking lot calls it the "Little and Big Rauhberg"
At the top of the ridge it says "Zum Rauberger-Felsen"
The Open Street Map in Komoot shows 2x Rauhberg pillar and 1x Rauberg pillar for a space.
I stick to: "Kleiner Rauhberg" "Rauhbergpfeiler" and "(Spirkelbacher) Rauhfels" :-)

Rauhberg or Rauberg? - Very simple: Before the spelling reform of 1996, "rough" was written with an h, since then "rough" has been written without an h. It is better to stick to the old spelling for place names. Rinnthal is still called that, although Tal has been spelled without an h for a long time.
Greetings from another old lover of this landscape!
