Königstuhl

A fantastic distant view of the Rhine valley and over Heidelberg to the Palatinate Forest and Speyer - of course only when it is not too hazy. It is definitely recommended to take the mountain railway up - of course also recommended for cyclists and mountain bikers. In the warm months it is unfortunately quite overcrowded by a lot of tourists and local walkers. This can be a bit stressful for cyclists of all kinds. It is best to take a short descent near the mountain railway station - this can avoid trouble or even accidents.

Great view above Heidelberg over the Rhine plain across to the Palatinate.

By cable car, bicycle, bus, on foot or by car you can reach the Königsstuhl (parking available). Impressive view and nice starting point for walks and bikers;)

Great view of the plane. A nice place to stay, but a lot of business on the weekend.
Everything is important here: bikers, hikers and joggers (the Himmelsleiter ends here), tourists (mountain railway station), etc.

Somewhat below there is the possibility to stop ...

The mountain top with a great view on every tour. From here countless trails go downhill.

Very nice route to drive there is also a rocky sea with nature reserve also nice to look at above nice view and a small snack

Only way to get cool & hot drinks. In addition there are (always tasty) cakes as well as the classics of the Wald & Wiesen gourmets (worscht, stew, potato salad) at reasonable prices.

One of the oldest cable cars in Germany, that is reason enough to go up here. Of course, there is also a lot to see.

Very nice view from the top of the hill.

A wonderful view and a magnificent panorama reward the effort to get there (if you go up by bike).
With the cable car up it is rather relaxing, unless it is weekend, then we almost trampled dead.

Definitely worth a visit here! The elevation gain a bit in the legs, but then you will be rewarded with a brilliant view!

I think you do not have to argue about the awesome view here, but a little hint: you can enjoy it all the more, even if you have mastered the altitude by yourself
