Well, the tour started and ended in Karakol, so I don't understand why the loop isn't logical. For navigation, we used a combination of komoot and some russian military cards we found in Bishkek.

Oh, I thought you were talking about a big bike in the sense of downhill or freeride bike :D A Stumpjumper would be a good choice and you can carry a bike of this size for hours, trust me.
