Westhofen is truly a delightful place with lots of beautiful things to discover (wonnegau.de).Due to technical problems, it is difficult to understand where I was, so here is a summary of my evening tour (6 km, 70 m ascent): Seebach with water birds, mill wheel, giant fish and Kneipp facilities, powder tower and defensive wall, park with church ruins, former dam "Am Wiesensee", various vineyard houses, view of the southern Bergstrasse and Westhofen waterworks. There are many column cypress trees in the vineyards and at sunset there is this very special light, which I automatically associate with Tuscany.
Nice ..., I also planned a tour there because of the many trulli! 👍😊
Nice tour and great pictures 👏👍We already had the technical problems.Sometimes the gps doesn't seem to work properly.Underpasses, buildings or sometimes the forest probably interfere with the location. This is where athletic performance comes about 😉😉👍
According to wonnegau.de there should be 101 vineyard houses in Wonnegau ... my suggestion: instead of Easter eggs 🐣 look for winged houses 🙂
Yes Biitii, I've already collected a few, e.g. also on the Trullo cycle path! 😊 It's nice that you have already shown me something from Westhofen ... looks great!
Sigh ... yes, the town itself really has a lot to offer, not just winemakers and the grape blossom festival. Thanks for the compliment too; when the light changed I was absolutely thrilled.Because of the technical problems: I am constantly changing settings and much more and have not yet completely given up hope 😉
The trullo bike tour is great! There are also really great trulli in Flörsheim-Dalsheim!I don't know why, but I only say trullo to the round buildings, the angular ones are with me [Wingertsheisja], to use dialect. It's strange.
The evening light is really magical 😊. Some things sound familiar to me, but I don't know the Chinese hesje 😄
Thank you Angelika, magical is exactly the right word!Well, you just have to come back again, because there are a few between Westhofen and Hangen-Weisheim that are not included in the tour template rheinhessen.de/wingertsheisje-wanderweg-1/wingertsheisje-wanderweg. In the direction of Dittelsheim-Heßloch you can still walk to the "Roten Häuschen", and if you can walk well, you can climb the Kloppberg, from which you can see the Frankfurt skyline on a clear day.Have fun everybody!
