You don't ride such long climbs in the Bergisches Land.
However, short, sometimes crisp inclines are easy to find - even if you really don't need one at the moment ...
Want to drive around the Bevertalsperre (apex of the tour) - is not currently possible (construction site).
But there are other roads too! 😉
The Bergisch is much more strenuous than the Eifel, I think. As you say, there are seldom long passages with gentle climbs. But I find the Bergisch landscape much more beautiful. As a teenager, I often camped with friends at the Bevertalsperre. :)
Simply great 💪👍📷
@Ute: Kilometers in Bergisch count twice, right? 😉
The arrival and departure through Cologne scares me a little, but I always come home happy (and exhausted) from the Bergisch region!
Thank you, Marianne!
I can still offer an alternative close to home:
"O, you beautiful Westerwald"
Mountains, heights, climbs and z. Currently still pretty cold 😊
By the way, that would be another suggestion for komoot to take over construction sites from Google Map in order to improve route planning
Great tour! I made a note of it and if it fits I'll go to tomorrow ... Thank you 👍🏻😘🙃
Joa, Stereocube: the same applies to the Westerwald - these low mountain ranges on the right bank of the Rhine ...
Yes, you have to fight your way through the first 10-15km, but then. ;) And every time I tour the right bank of the Rhine, I ask myself which bridge I choose today ...
Thank you, Chris - have fun!
West of Wipperfürth I would try the left before Kleineichhölzchen (right was not good, bad 100m).
And from Altenberg at the latest, I wasn't really inspired when choosing the route.
You can find something there with less traffic, but I want to go home ...
The bridges are a topic in itself - I decided quite late today for the Mühlheimers ... and then had slight problems finding the driveway🤔:
The post-Bergisch "fix and ready" syndrome, Ute😉
Very nice tour. Your performance top and hats off. The Bergisches Land is beautiful.
👍👍👍👍
