Try the Saale Cycle Path and two alternatives.
One leads to the left of the Saale in the direction of Wengelsdorf and Kirchfrahtorf through the floodplain. So I wanted to avoid the construction sites in and around Bad Dürrenberg + that worked out well.
The other variant (which will be of interest to Denis…
Really interesting garden gate.
Will be a great series.
The garden gate must have an interesting story, how does one come up with something like that? 🙂
The 'little house by the forest' is also well seen. Nice tour.
Thank you for trying 🙏. The paths are probably only manageable in summer due to the soil conditions, but overgrown and therefore impassable.
Well done 👍👍👍
I'm looking forward to the series of interesting garden gates! 🙂 I would be interested in how to build something like this.
Memories come back to the picture of the church ruins: my cousins and I played there when we were children. It's been a long time ...
And I always thought it was a water tower.
@ Torsten: St. Sixti - originally intended as a monastery complex, but a ruin since the 30 Years War. Attempts to rebuild it failed. In the 1890s it was converted into a water tower. In the GDR times it was still accessible, as you know, but has been locked for years. You couldn't go into the tower…
@Dennis: Thanks for the info. So my memory of the water tower didn't disappoint me. ;)
@Torsten:
how do you mean by building? I guess (in that case) found a precast concrete part - maybe it was still in the landscape - and attached a few fence slats ... Or do you mean - how one comes up with something like that ... Improvisation makes inventive
By the way: the series continues today
I don't think anyone found any finished part there. The part looks like self-made on site. Either made lying down and then erected like an obelisk. Or built upright with elaborate formwork and difficult compaction such as bridge piers. But overall well done. And it seems to have been standing for a few…
@Torsten:
or the grandpa wanted to show the grandson what can be tinkered together out of concrete. With the variety of shapes, I can only imagine it that way. The shape (flat) should have been relatively simple, some reinforcement would have to be added, so fixed points for the fence pickets could be…
The concrete industry slogan:
CONCRETE
It depends what you make of it.
