I'm free again during the week ... So off to the woods. 😁🌳Today we went to Neckargerach for a gorge tour!First along the Neckar to the * Margaretenschlucht *. A dreamlike gorge, where the path meanders back and forth through the gorge, with a via ferrata and many waterfalls. Mega. 😁Then it went on past a * forest lake * with a rest area, into the village of * Lauerskreuz *. All houses here are built in the single-roof house style. House, stable and barn under one roof. There are no fences and very nice people. 😊Then we went a little further to the * picnic area *. Here there was lunch, cyclists and a beautiful view. After strengthening, we went to the next gorge. On the way we passed a * Lost Place *. A former refuge that has seen its best days. 🏚 Now it went on to the * Wolfsschlucht *. The upper part has no water, only further down came the water and another via ferrata. At the end of the Wolfsschlucht you come across the * Burg Zwingenberg *. A former customs castle that is unfortunately privately owned. (You can see that too. 😊)Now we only went through the town of Zwingenberg to Neckargerach to the train station.A nice tour with great weather. ✌😎☀
Ah, the ravines are open again? Good to know. Last year both were unfortunately banned due to Corona (after they were reported on TV).
I went through the Wolfsschlucht (downhill) in October 2020, but according to the sign I was officially closed due to storm damage (blocked paths due to fallen trees). Is rightly closed, as you can only get through there with some alpine experience. If anyone knows whether the gorge is open again, someone is welcome to comment here.
Well, MB has just crossed the gorge. So the lock no longer seems to exist.Last year (in spring) there was both the "lock" because of the damage (only the sign, I see more of a "disclaimer") and a lock with barrier tape and threats of punishment according to the Corona Ordinance. We came in "by accident" over a small side path, where there was no barrier (various other people simply removed the barriers). In two places the path was actually in very bad shape. But it is much easier uphill (as almost always), and once there was an alternative route on the water. At least up the valley it wasn't particularly complicated.
Hello everybody. 😊The gorges are both passable. During the week there is of course nothing going on and you can stroll through the gorges in accordance with Corona. At the weekend, both gorges are overrun, we were told by hikers who were in Margaretenschlucht last Sunday.Tip: At the moment only visit the gorges during the week or be there very, very early.Neckargerach train station has free parking spaces and is a great starting point for the tour.

Merci for your update 👍Last year I also had to reschedule this tour indefinitely 😉During the week or very early, on many tours, the only way to run is without encountering herds ... 🤷♀️
Super nice route, great area and great shots 😎🌞👍🏼
You used the day optimally 👍👍. Thanks for the information, at the weekend I wouldn't have the idea to grumble either. So far I only know the Wolfsschlucht but the Margarethe Gorge also looks really interesting 😍. I'll try to shorten the tour a bit, otherwise I won't do it
The Wolfsschlucht is officially closed due to storm damage. But even I, a little shit, came down without any major problems 🙂
