Beguiling smells of blooming wild garlic everywhere in the forest, these "fields" looked almost like snow, with the chirping of birds; it was wonderful! If you are attentive, you will see small or large ponds everywhere in the nature reserve - sometimes very picturesque. Then Father Rhine in green - I had never seen him like this before.Since the path on the Rhine was flooded in an unmanageable and incalculable way, it went back. When heavy rain set in, the treidler tour was shortened. I will watch the second half another time when the slopes in the forest are uncomfortably slippery again.
The official description of the Treidlerweg:On the trail of the hauliers, you will discover one of the few internationally protected and still ecologically intact floodplain landscapes. The circular hiking trail leads you along the Michelsbach, past fields of yellow irises, fields of grass and reeds. The numerous fish ponds - the earth pits - stocked with pond and water lilies, offer a magical sight. Follow in the footsteps of the towers along the Rhine. Before the invention of steam shipping, ships had been hauled upriver since the 8th century, that is, servants or draft animals pulled the ship from the bank on a long line against the current. Watch the river with its leisurely gliding ships. A specialty of the Rheinaue is the still occurring wild grapevine, one of the rarest and most culturally and historically valuable Palatine plant species. You will encounter pheasants and stilts under willows, poplars, ash trees and elms.
Very beautiful photos. Close to nature 👍
Very nice tour and very nice pictures 👍 I love pure nature.
Very, very nice photos 👌👌.
But you've already run it for the most part ... 😊

We have already done that too. I think that was 3 weeks after a flood. The "picturesque" ponds had meanwhile become perfect breeding sites for gnats😉
Oh how beautiful 🤗 We were there 1 1/2 weeks ago; the wild garlic has already bloomed profusely. But now it is even more extreme, a great sea of flowers and certainly also scents 😍
Uhh, that looks great‼ ️
Great pictures, the wild garlic really looks like a snow carpet 😀
Thank you very much for your positive comments, I was also surprised how much this floodplain has to offer 😄The scent of the blooming wild garlic was incredibly intense - what a great experience for this sensory organ 👃I only had fleeting contact with a single flying bloodsucker, the helicopter was probably already here👌
