South of the Mackenröder peak there is an entertaining path "hard on the edge", as a highlight aptly describes it. Cracks, crevices and rubble show that the landscape is more in motion here than in many other places. The forest floor below the edge of the abortion is also known as the earth glacier…

On our hike on September 29, 2020, we tried our hand at the edge. Because of the many fallen trees, we soon gave up. Obviously, you've found a better way. Because of your tour, we will probably make another attempt.

Exactly, it has been of interest to geologists for decades. It is also wildly romantic for hikers.

In fact, my route leads to the plateau and back again with little risk. The further way "down" is exciting. It's not a comfortable route, but it is still easy to walk.
