We started the ascent to the Prinzenkopf tower from the hiking car park “Am Prinzenkopf”.
Given the temperatures, the way from Marienburg would probably have been more relaxed, but what the heck.

Yes, it was just crazy too! This loop of the Moselle needs 14 kilometers to go around the ridge. The two ends are then only a few hundred meters apart.
However, climbing the tower is slowly no longer fun in these temperatures 😉🤪
Oh yes, by the way, the Kanonenbahn is the longest slope viaduct in Germany.
