The round usually runs in the shade of the trees and you can still discover quite a few remains of the fortress, which was never really completely finished. With a guide it should be possible to walk through the underground, because the above-ground structures have almost all disappeared.

Cool, we will be cycling the Moselle Cycle Path during the summer holidays

Have fun then. We have been here a few times and always discover something new.

The bulwark is very interesting, of course also the beautiful tours in the Eifel. Was there as a child, I could plan as a further goal, maybe in autumn for the grape harvest

That's right, the Eifel and the Moselle area have a lot of interesting things to offer.

Definitely a good time for the vintage! Actually, tours in the vineyards were still planned, but in the heat and especially the sunshine it was unbearable. We regretted that very much, but fortunately the vineyards are not running away 😉
