I noticed that the map material can be very unreliable, especially in forest areas. Openstreetmap is based on the fact that an army of volunteers evaluates satellite images and adds on-site knowledge. This doesn't really work, especially in forest areas. The main claim from komoot is 'Your way to adventure'. As long as the map material from OpenStreetMap is not perfect and not always up to date, it will probably stay that way ;-)

Frank, I almost feel guilty that you had to fight your way through the bushes now. I've walked the path at Wermelinsee several times, it was never really easy, Komoot threw the trees down there a long time ago to keep it exciting. Thank you for this great tour! The pictures are very beautiful again. The locks look ... still ... both very good. Let's hope that it stays that way at Gusow Castle.

And there where Andrea hiked, there are sometimes trees in the way, as if she put them there especially 😅
