I had never heard of the Speierling either, so I read it right away. One of the rarest tree species in Germany with around 2500 specimens in the "wild". The cat and the train tracks that run through the green look exciting too!

Ina did not give up on the tree. I owe the discovery to her. The fruits should taste particularly good just before they rot. That's just not for the supermarket ;-)

The service has done it to me too. In Hesse, especially in the Rhine-Main region, the fruit is added to the apple press. This gives the "Stöffsche" a very special note. In Langen I named a path lined with service trees after him. komoot.de/highlight/369259
