Relaxation excursion in very nice autumn weather,
it was about the Goitzsche near Bitterfeld.
In 1998, the flooding of the former opencast mine began, and in 2006 the lake should be completely filled. But it went much faster when a dam broke during the Mulde flood in 2002. Within two days, the lake ran…
Have a nice trip. I would also like to go to the Bitterfelder Bogen. The weather today literally invited you to cycle, ...
Have a nice end to the day 👍🙋♂️
Nice round. 👍 I've always wanted to go there. After all, I grew up in BTF and saw the open pit mine as a big hole. I also served in Bad Düben. 🙈 We might be able to do it in the spring (with your help).
The plates in picture 1 are completely different. But whether they are better ... 🤣
Is there a café or snack bar on the route?
My old home. With lots of nice corners.
@Mono Marc: definitely at the Goitzsche (city harbor, Matheo, Bernsteinvilla, Seensucht - beach promenade Bitterfeld, then on to Mühlbeck and Pouch. The rest of the bank area is Goitzsche wilderness.
@Andreas:
Thanks for the answer - there are some snack bars and restaurants on the northern side of the lake, opening times may not be certain. At the point where we started there is also a campsite, there could also be something else ...
@Torsten:
so the plates in the Harz are clearly the nicer ones…
@ Andreas: No, not in Delitzsch. I was at the Alaunwerk Bad Düben, at that time Bat. Chem. Abwehr 3001. Later it became the Heidekaserne. And later the film "NVA" was shot there. Today it is an industrial area with many garages (yes, I was there again recently. 🙈)
The Geiseltalsee is also unspectacular, but still beautiful. 😁
Regardless of the beautiful tour today and the explanations, great as always, the path along the Mulde to Düben is very nice to drive and the mountains around the alum plant give a beautiful view over the Mulde valley. The industrial wasteland of the Bat. Chem. - several films have already been shot…

@Taras: I can remember a documentary about the alum factory. The worn garage doors were shown and it was explained that nuclear weapons were being stored behind them. 🙈🤣
That was shortly after the reunification. 🤔
I have heard your reference to the observation tower very well 😄👍. But I still have to deal with such superlatives ...
