It is actually also called worsted spinning. Parts of it are listed, I think it's now university. Other parts have been torn down and still other parts have a cultural center where concerts, cabaret and so on take place. That in Leipzig, however, looks more impressive 😅. However, it's not that bad for Kaiserslautern 😉
I worked there for two months and then came back to visit. The station has left. There you can feel the old size (today no longer really a hub for rail traffic). Unfortunately, I only touched the corners you have explored here. That's why I was happy to take a closer look at it. Yes, Leipzig has a lot to offer.

For me it looks more like a cross between a white magpie, a black raven and a pine jay.
Nice pictures Tom. With the worsted yarn, I felt at home in Lautern 😀
I don't want to contradict you, Ernst. But I'm so happy to be able to show a picture of a bird and it would be too complicated as a tour name 😁
Thanks Natalie! 😊 There are beautiful buildings in Lautern too? Wasn't even known to me before 😲

Ah yes then I have to look at it when I'm in KL again. It's not far from my "base camp" 🙃
It's a real bird town. I still read nightingale forest ;-)
Definitely a beautiful city. Worthy of your photo eye.
Thank you Jens! Leipzig has a lot to offer and I am always thrilled 😀
