🥾 & 🚴♀️ in der Pfalz,
Today we were out with my parents, my dad really wanted to see the tunnel 😊 The tunnel is now well known and speaks for itself. So that we don't just walk back and forth, we are on the Eistal Viaduct down to the Eiswoog, to the disused wagons and to the Stumpfwaldgericht. So it was a nice round.

Today I chose a slightly different route home and thus had more time for photos 😃 I left out the loop via Ellerstadt, Gönnheim and Rödersheim and turned onto the tractor motorway in Maxdorf. I'm not sure if you can tell how much I like poppies (or wildflowers in general) 🥰 It's just wonderful how lush everything is in bloom at the moment, the heavy rain is really good for nature. Today's specialty: the pink poppies 💕. I have never seen it and then discovered it in two places, do you know them? 🤷🏻♀️

Today's tour comes without any major obvious highlights. But there were still some: First of all, the smell of the forest. Incredible how intensely the forest smelled today! It was really good air. Besides, the peace and quiet. We hardly met other people, the paths were mostly empty, just us and the voices of nature. A wonderful hike to come down to.

Bridging day or for me: the gentle reintegration after vacation 🤷🏻♀️ Even though the night was over at 5 a.m. this morning, I was really looking forward to cycling. And since the weather app reported at noon today that the weather won't come until 3 p.m., I allowed myself a little detour. Unfortunately, with my constant view of the sky, I had to ignore many photo opportunities, but there will still be opportunities to catch up. In any case, everything was done right, because now it is pouring ☔ and with the direct way there this morning I come to almost 50km 😁 Have a nice weekend!

On our Lindelbrunn / Rötzenfels tour two days ago I saw a sign that pointed to the pig's head. Since we didn't know it until today, we thought of going for it. We also packed the chapel at Birkenhördt on the tour. Since we are going quite late today, we have planned the round so that we arrive at the pig's head for dinner. As luck would have it, we met Chris up on the rock. It was nice to have met you in person! The meal with the view and the evening sun was of course a dream.

Today we ended up in Wilgartswiesen or Hermersbergerhof.
The first highlight of the tour was the Luitpold Tower, 175 steps up to the bombastic all-round view!
Then we dived into the NatURWALD for the first time. This is a large forest area that is overgrown and no longer maintained. It is recommended not to enter the forest section in heavy rain, snow or strong wind, and good footwear, surefootedness and good mobility are required. We can also sign that. Wild forest 🍃 🌳 and it was really amazing! And: empty. Nothing going on, just us.
The path led through a picturesque valley along an old Trift system to the next two highlights: the Winschert head with a large viewing platform and the Gräfenstein ruins. There was a little more going on here, because the parking lot is not far ... Nevertheless, both are highly recommended! On the way back we walked almost exclusively through the NatURWALD. Simply a wonderful tour!

The tour today was one of the most beautiful tours we have ever done. We were lucky that firstly the sun came out at the Lindelbrunn castle ruins and on the Rötzenfels and secondly there was little going on. The tour has more than 600 meters of altitude, but no long, steep climbs and was easy to run for the youngsters as well. The absolute highlight next to the ruin and the rock is the game sausage machine in Lindelbrunn 😜. Since the sausage did not survive the rest on the ruins, we had to go back to the machine again ... Today we were accompanied by JC, great that you were there, it was fun with you.

A small but very nice tour from Wernersberg today. Red sandstone lovers will get their money's worth here!
The start of the tour was a bit bumpy, because the planned (and also designated) route was somehow not there. So we made our way across the country through the undergrowth. That can be done better ... 🤷🏻♀️
From then on it was really beautiful, at the beginning wide wildflower meadows and cows, pure holiday feeling! 😍 And then into the forest and straight up to the Geiersteinen, which beckon with breathtaking views. Then over mouse, hangover and cat rock and the chert (with a cross) to the round hat. Madness, that look! Those who dare can climb to the very front or even up. The last stop was the Wernersberger Wachtfels with a view of the Geiersteine, we were back at the car just in time for the rain. Perfect timing!
