Paddling through the Spreewald River is very relaxing when you leave the busy routes of the tourist barges. One sees, smells and hears only nature. Glorious. Since autumn spoils us with 30 ° C, the mosquitoes do not come out during the day.

We started this tour as a gourmet tour, as described in the Marco Polo travel guide. You can really get past many pubs and specialty shops. But we did not have that much hunger. So at some point we let ourselves drift.

If you are in Amsterdam, a canal cruise is just the thing. Unfortunately, many boats (like ours) are glazed and you can not take nice pictures through the windows. But worth seeing is the city from this perspective.
