Doncaster es demasiado plano... No soy el ciclista más rápido, pero mi velocidad promedio fue bastante mayor que en cualquiera de las rutas que he hecho en Peak District. ¡La piedra de 'pronóstico del tiempo' de Johns dio en el clavo! Efectivamente estaba lloviendo, lo que hacía que el andar fuera extremadamente descuidado en algunos lugares. De lo contrario, fueron aproximadamente 9 millas muy planas, probablemente mucho más agradables y agradables cuando están secas…

Como no había hecho ningún plan real sobre dónde viajar, salí de Sheffield por Eccleshall Rd, atravesé Whirlow y luego me uní al desvío que se extiende desde la parte trasera de Lady Cannings Plantation. Desde allí bajé hasta el final del camino de herradura que conduce de regreso a la cima de Burbage…

All credit to my old man for this one… a superb walk down through the Longshaw Estate, an uncomfortably steep climb up out of Calver (!) and then back across to the Longshaw Estate by way of Froggatt Edge. Cold,but glorious sunshine, and windy as chuff once up on Froggatt Edge!

Saliendo de Vicar Water Country Park, fueron 8/9 millas frías... la pantalla de temperatura en el auto decía -2 grados y ciertamente lo sentí, con los lagos de Vicar Water congelados.
Agradable, plano y seco debido a que todo está congelado, aunque pude ver que partes de esta caminata habían estado extremadamente…

First time back up Lady Cannings since they’ve done a bit of work on the Blue Steel track. It’s a lot better, but would benefit from some drier weather to help ‘set’ the refinished berms.
Hopefully Cooking On Gas will get some love too, although the track still runs really well, and isn’t in as much…

Been ages since I hit the downhill trails at Greno, so I factored them into todays loop.
Halfway down ‘Pub Run’ I began to wonder where I was… the Forestry Commission have been in there again and cut down great swathes of the trees! Nowhere near as messy as a few years back, so the trail is unaffected…

A Boxing Day walk to blow away the cobwebs… a bit wet and miserable, but it didn’t seem to have stopped many people from getting out, and I always like to see people enjoying the outdoors!

Fantastic weather made this flat walk from Worksop out to Creswell Crags and back an absolutely superb day to be outside enjoying the crisp December sunshine!
