Die Aussicht, eines Tages für immer rumzuliegen, macht mir jetzt Beine!
Start/finish of this beautiful hike is the commuter car park in Sindelsdorf. On the round, on which there is always the Alps to be admired, there are mainly paved paths, often asphalt. On the way back we walked a good distance through a large meadow - so don't be surprised that there is no path there.

Short walk not far from Leutstetten through an area unknown to me.
The starting point was chosen spontaneously and Komoot recorded everything well, even if it sometimes went through the middle of the forest, away from paths.
Surefootedness and sturdy shoes, as the photos show, are an advantage.
I recommend starting and finishing near a settlement.

Instead of Garda, we first went to Torri del Benaco and ate and drank a little something (€ 18) in a trattoria (high above the town) and had to pay € 5 for the cover, but weren't allowed to take it with us. 😂Malcesine with its small streets is reminiscent of some of the other places on Lake Garda.
But everyone has their own flair, but not everyone has a castle.

The way up to the Montesel ski area was very demanding and therefore biker-free paths through a lot of forest. All shops and restaurants are closed in the Montesel ski area and are waiting for winter. From Dos de la Cros you would have had a magnificent view of Trento, but because the short ascent went straight down to the right and due to the lack of a head for heights I thought "this is nothing for my Vadder his boyfriend".On the descent through the forest, two professional eMTBers overtook us. As their (braking) tracks, which we followed, showed that their full equipment (shoulder, chest, back, elbow, knee and shin protection) was not used.Surefootedness is essential.

A visit to the powder tower is free, the view of the old town of Merano and far beyond into the western valley towards Lagundo is worth gold. From the Schneeburghof snack bar, the asphalt is shared with the cars all the way to Dorf Tirol. In Tirolo don't miss the junction to the Apple Trail, as it leads to the visually interesting Meraner Waalweg. This requires surefootedness and is not suitable for people with knee injuries. The final Tappeiner Weg is easy to walk and offers many beautiful views.

Déjà-vuWe, KlausK and KlausR, grew up in Weiden and have lived in Munich since the 1970s, today - together with my Weiden brother and his wife - among the many options that are offered in Weiden's beautiful surroundings, the highlight "Burgruine Flossenbürg" " decided."Wikipedia says: On May 28, 1995, smoke rose from a locomotive for the last time and the last freight wagons rolled between Neustadt / WN and Vohenstrauß. After the final dismantling of the last rails in 1995, the Eslarner Bockl was history."From Weiden to Neustadt / WN it was mostly through nature and then further on the asphalt and always gently rising Bocklradweg to Floss.
There we left this 52km long cycle path, which continues on the former railway line to Eslarn. With Plankenhammer we should have relied on Komoot and not got through the knee-deep grass. After the Gaisweiher it went uphill and pushing was announced at the foot of the Flossenbürg castle ruins at the latest. Once at the top, we were rewarded with a wonderful view of Flossenbürg and if the weather had allowed it, the view would have been possible far over the beautiful landscape to the Parkstein and the Fischerberg near Weiden. After a little refreshment, it was always slightly downhill to Weiden.
On the outskirts of Weiden, a little inattentiveness caused my two Weidner relatives to fall, which luckily "only" resulted in skin grazes.Freshly showered and over dinner at the Bräuwirt in the Weiden pedestrian zone, we looked back on this ultimately very beautiful day.

Back to the roots, it went for us, KlausK and KlausR, who grew up in Weiden a little later, and who happened to play football in the same club.
We only met in Munich in the 1970s - through football. In 2002 we - together with HorstB from Hohenfels - undertook a two-day bike tour that took us a little south of Weiden to Munich. Now it was time to once again include Weiden by bike.By car we went from Munich to Katzdorf bei Teublitz and the tour could start in wonderful weather and a pleasant 23 degrees.Right at the beginning we turned onto the mostly asphalted Naabtalradweg, which brought us close to the beautiful Naab again and again over long stretches.
The closer we got to our old home Weiden, the more stories from the good old days there were to tell.
That only came to an end when, after our visit to the Bräu Wirt, we went to rest for a while in our hotel. The Bräu Wirt is highly recommended.
The hotel Weile is simply furnished, but has good mattresses.
