After work we went home again, albeit with a detour and time pressure. In terms of time, I just made it ... It was interesting to drive the route like this. Because otherwise it’s actually going from Schwaara towards Röpsen ... nice downhill 😁
      I wish you a nice evening ...

A bike tour was actually planned yesterday. But a good weather driver 🤪 does not dare to leave 🌧. Fortunately, the weekend has two days and Sunday lived up to its name. ☀️🌻
Let's go. Food and drinks (don't forget this time 🙄) packed and the destination was Zeitz. It was not yet certain whether it would be achieved. Because as a pure amateur, non-sporty, fair-weather cyclist, that's a challenge. In addition, the "mountains" should be avoided, so only the Elstertal remained. Since the Elsterradweg between Crossen and Zeitz also has a few climbs (for the anti-athlete: obstacles), we went on the road along the Elster. Okay, also out of ignorance at Wetterzeube rode in the direction of the Elsterradweg and were surprised by a mountain classification in Dietendorf ... Well prepared 😁🤪 ... In short, you reached Zeitz and saved the money for the return train ticket because you achieved your overall destination 😁🥵💪. However, before reaching the mountain (we always have that when we come from the Elster), the battery at Fräulein Claras Eis had to be charged. After the brittle cup (each with a scoop of Grandma Giselas strawberry cake and combine harvester cake as well as GDR chocolate 😋) the battery wasn't full ... 🤪 ... But it arrived despite dwindling strength ...
      Was a nice tour. greetings

After the visitor mine F60 made a little detour to Senftenberg, if you are already in the region. However, these were only brief impressions, as the stay was very short. Small town with a city harbor ... beautiful.

First of all, the information that my signal has burned out 🤪. I.e. the first 1.8km do not belong to the tour.Today it was time to redeem my father-in-law's birthday present. So it went to Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf to the lying Eiffel Tower of the Lausitz. Here we visited the visitor mine F60, which is an overburden conveyor bridge. And ... what a coincidence😉, surprisingly we met his buddy there too .... 🤪 Thanks Hugo (and of course Bettina for the organization), it worked out great ...
We did the 90 minute tour. Unfortunately, so much information was shared that I couldn't remember. 🤔 Here are a few points (if I remembered it correctly):
      - Viewing platform at a height of 74 m
      - over 500 m long
      - originally weighed 13,000 tons (here "only" 11,000 tons)
      - Working time around 1990 for 13 months
      - think moved up to 4 meters per second.
      - the delivery rate was huge ... but 🤷🏻‍♂️ ...
All in all, very interesting and overwhelming. Of course only for those who are interested. It may not be advisable to people with a fear of heights, but everyone has to assess this for themselves.
      best regards

Nothing exciting today, but still nice ... It was a short detour to the west of Gera (Töppeln and Frankenthal) and then back through the city. The White Elster was still slightly marked from the last rainy days. The journey home was briefly accompanied by one (or more) fanfare parades (Greiz and Leipzig were spotted) on the way home. So the tour was rounded off ... 😁

Around Gera ... That was a planned tour for me for a long time. Today the signs were good, so saddle up, pack some food and drinks ... and off you go.
Starting from the east, it first went in the usual direction, Trebnitz and Schwaara. A small change in planning for the globe because the green area was mowed. Enjoyed the beautiful view of Trebnitz. At Dorna I met a “cyclist colleague” from Regensburg. He wanted to go to Leipzig, came from Plauen today and started in Regensburg yesterday. The easiest way is the Elsterradweg, but explain it to someone from there. So decided without further ado, led him there and changed my tour again (in retrospect it was a good thing😮‍💨). I wanted to go in that direction too, only that I wanted to go up the Milky Way and photograph the city to the south 🤷🏻‍♂️. We parted ways at the bridge in Milbitz and I wanted to have a drink ... and ... forget my bottle 🤦🏻‍♂️. Fortunately, I had already packed two small water bottles as a reserve. Well ... started in reserve and cycled up to Ernsee, to the west. After a short break, it went on, back down to the ascent to Dürrenebersdorf and Weißig over. Then it went back to the east via the south. In addition, of course, from the height back down into the Elstertal and crossed the White Elster. What can I say, on the penultimate 🏔 (Roter Weg - towards Lasur up) it was difficult for me. Very nasty mountain, maybe no steep ramps inside. But the mountain just didn’t want to end with slight curves ... when we arrived at the top we started the last bottle and ate the rest. But there was still my “local mountain” waiting for me. Well ... I did it! 💪 but I was broken ...
I liked the tour very much, even if the planned 4km (Milky Way) were not there. Fortunately 😮‍💨😥.
      best regards
P.S .: Sorry for the long comment 🤪

Made a trip to see friends in Endschütz on Sunday to enjoy the annual strawberry cake. Was very tasty, thank you very much.Unfortunately I have had big problems with Komoot lately editing the tour on my mobile phone. Sometimes it crashes after the end of the tour, so that completion is hardly possible. The pictures get lost and I have to laboriously bring them back to their possible location. In addition, the processing takes a very long time (e.g. open tour, open picture, label pictures ...). At the moment I cannot assess why it is. I've already switched my cell phone on and off, Komoot has also updated ... I don't know. Do you also have such problems ???

The last stop on Saxony Day was also rather spontaneous. It went to the state capital Dresden. Of course there is a lot to see here that was not feasible in such a short time. Therefore we went briefly through the old town and definitely past the Frauenkirche. Dresden is also always worth a visit and a successful end to the day.
