My RR is being inspected. Fortunately, the Gravel is ready. I will start later. The air is still warm - rather humid - and it smells like summer. I glide through the fields with the gravel, taking the inclines with strength. Gorgeous! Climb the Homberg over serpentines; with a view of the "Kuh-Chausee" and then a rapid descent to Sörgenloch. Then back in a loop.

The Via Natura is a circular hiking trail in the Hahnheim district. As the name suggests: "Nature" can be found in many places along the way. The circular hiking trail is very suitable for a gravel tour. In two places there is a short carrying passage (steep embankment or a few steps), which doesn't detract from the fun. I still have to go back and forth a few times because the signs are a little hidden in a few places. We recommend !!

Today there are 4 climbs in the Semmering area on the program. First it goes from Schottwien to Semmering. We first take the Alte Semmeringstrasse. Beautiful through pure nature. The Wahoo shows 34 degrees. The Alte Semmeringstraße then branches off again onto the old pass road and we reach the spa town of Semmering. A short descent loosens your legs and then you take the Pfaffsattel from Steinhaus. Except for the upper part, the increase offers single-digit percentages. After that it gets more demanding. The coffee break is after a somewhat rough descent in Rettenegg. This is followed by the third ascent of the Feistritzsattel, which is wonderfully even to ride. Above, the somewhat dark clouds are of the opinion that refreshment is good. It is not heavy rain that accompanies us for the first km on the descent - and we drive towards the blue sky. The descent to Trattenbach is definitely a pleasure. And then the crowning thing is the somewhat flatter Ramssattel from Kirchberg am Wechsel. A great round that can be unreservedly recommended.

We start at Schleinzer Kreuz, which we reach after about an hour's drive from Vienna. The weather promises good. Right at the beginning, after a short drive, the humpback world shows what it has to offer. Small roads lead in the forest with decent ramps, sometimes> 20% upwards. Then follows a nice descent over a serpentine Mecca, which is also called Alpe d'Huez from Burgenland. This is followed by the second ascent through "hell", which is not that bad after the first. An ice coffee on the sun terrace is also possible again. It serves to strengthen for the last ascent, which leads up and over the serpentine Mecca. And it was the first tour this year with stable weather. Wonderful.
