After a long time finally back in Saxon Switzerland: with Mr. Sohnemann to the Falkenstein (see Schusterweg, I still have on my list), then ascent to the Schrammsteine and a quiet lunch break at the breakfast place (great scramble!). Also the legendary Sandholstiege (Edit: Sandreiße!) Viewed from above (also on my list!). Via the well-frequented Schrammsteingratweg and the Rotkehlchenstiege to Schmilka, with an obligatory stop at the organic brewery / bakery ... then return with the hiking steamer to the Elbkai Bad Schandau. Great !! 🤠👌

Snow hike in the Rofan (Achensee / Tyrol). First part (morning): Warming up through the deep snow in the direction of the Rofanspitze (lucky, one group wanted to go up and had sped, but got, as far as I could see, increasing problems). Second part (in the afternoon and after a little refreshment at the hut) in the best conditions in the direction of Dalfalzalm and via the normal route up to the striking Rotspitze (with climbing UIAA I; watch out for ice and snow, the challenge is even more demanding !!).

Combined hiking and folding bike tour around the picturesque Achensee with a dream panorama. First on foot from Pertisau on the Mariensteig (bicycle ban) to the hiking car park in Achenkirch. From there clockwise with the oldschool Klappi along the bank to the starting point.

A short trip to the Zinna Forest near Jüterborg. Highlights: the large shifting dune and old bunkers in the open heathland. Difficult to reach, best to park behind the old barracks / camp (there is only one possibility to cross the Bundesstrasse / railway line) ...

Inspired by my man Kai, who did parts of this tour a week ago !! Immediately after hiking ... 🤠👍Up and down over the picturesque table mountains between Bad Schandau and Königsstein. Breathtaking views and crisp stairs (usually downhill, hehe ...). The whole thing in bomb weather. The middle part of the tour is really fantastic !!Climbing parts / climbing spots: Hunskirche (on the fore cliffs you can easily get up), Pope (AW through the chimney and then up to the left. Fantastic !!), Taubenschlucht on the Pfaffenstein (looks easy from below, but off the cheek: at the top of the key point behind the overhanging block I was really at the limit ... think carefully about whether you climb up there alone).

1 little snow adventure in Lower Saxony. Video here: twitter.com/janhemme/status/1360672326182965250From the parking lot on the climbing wall in the old quarry, the trail goes up to the southern Holzen climbing rock. The trail is partially closed (bird brood) and you have to change to the lower path through the snow and over hill and dale (it would be better to block the path further ahead!).Behind the Nasensteinhöle you can enjoy the view again up and above the Rothestein. To get to the Rothesteinhöle you have to climb a bit through the snow-covered rocks (nice training for mixed alpine terrain ...).The way back is over the picturesque snowy landscape of the airfield. At the bottom there is a nice resting place with a great view. All in all, a short but, due to the untracked deep snow in the first half, correspondingly strenuous tour.Tip: In summer, you can extend it by visiting the northern Holzener Klippen. The path then goes back on the other side of the ridge through the Ithwiesen. Then you can also enter the caves (closed in winter because of the bats).
