Today the bandage change was announced in the ATOS Clinic 😷
Since this usually doesn't take much time, after a short lunch break 🥨🥐🥖☕🍵 at the Riegler bakery in Handschuhsheim, we made a short excursion to the ruins of the Schauenburg 🏰 via Dossenheim.
We have often inspected when we drove along the A5 ➡️, but we have never been up.
      So it was about time.
Can be reached quickly after a short, steep ascent from the "Wanderparkplatz Zur Schauenburg" and it's worth it. The view 👀 is impressive and certainly much better when it is not so hazy on the Rhine plain 🌫

My first little round after my carpal tunnel surgery on Thursday. It was a short tour through and around Guttenbach, a few kilometers up the Neckar. Actually, the operation (10-15 minutes) was only very short (total stay almost 5 hours with "preparation and follow-up time") and under partial anesthesia (only my arm was asleep 😴 😉), but I was knocked out by the circulatory system until Friday evening 😵🥴. I hadn't thought so at all 😮🤷‍♀️, to see the view from the "other side", that is, beyond the syringe 💉. Otherwise I'm the one who brings the patient to sleep 💉 😴 🛏 🏥 😇😁.

My wife was operated on on the carpal tunnel of the right hand in the ATOS Clinic on October 14th. With all the trimmings, the operation lasted five hours.
So that I could bridge the waiting time well, she asked me to look for a small garden café in Handschuhsheim. She had discovered this on a tour of another Komoot user.
The whole thing is in a forgotten corner in Handschuhsheim on the way to Heiligenberg and is called "Die Schmuckscheuer".
The jewelry barn is a shop and studio. Here you can find gifts, decorations and toys. There is also a small garden bar. In addition to coffee and cake, small dishes and ice cream are also offered.
I actually only know the area north of the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke from driving through on the B3, if you want to go to Weinheim, or something. I have never been here on foot and was amazed at all the gems there are away from the hustle and bustle of the Heidelberg tourist mile.
In the end I walked on both sides of the Neckar in order to be back at the ATOS clinic on time to pick up my wife.

The weather should be nice on Saturday, so we decided to go on a hike around Eberbach on Friday evening.
From Ledigsberg, above Rockenau to the lock. Then over the Neckar, up to the Max-Hauck-Hütte 🛖 up to the ridge near Unterdielbach. Descent to the game reserve 🐗 on the Holderbach and through the Holdergrund back to Eberbach. From there up to the ⛰ Ohrsberg, one of the surrounding mountains from the distant past, to enjoy the view in glorious sunshine 🌝. Back through the city, over the Neckar Bridge in the reed area on the other side of the Neckar. As the last stage then up to the ⛰ Ottohöhe, the second Neckarumlaufberg. From there it is not far to our home 🏡
That was, in brief, the plan.
Since I only record tours with Komoot and no longer plan them (Komoot has been letting me down too often lately by simply losing a planned tour on the way 😡), I was not aware that the route would be more than 20 km long 😳 A big challenge for me, because on longer tours I actually have to struggle with aching feet 🦶🦶 on longer tours, but with aching feet due to health reasons (I also notice today 😣)
Nonetheless, a beautiful hike that we can recommend without reservation

Small Sunday morning walk near Unter-Mossau. The tranquility of this quiet forest is really well suited to let your mind wander.
At first we didn't meet a soul, only insects 🐜🐝🪲 and birds 🕊🐦 were on the way. The typical smell of the black smock could be smelled near a wild boar and from the thicket there was a slight grunt ... but they did not show themselves.
At the foot and arm freezing system 🥶 "Rosselbrunnen" it was over with the calm, this place is well known and popular.
All in all, however, a nice little tour in the forest loneliness 🌲🌲🌲

I copied the tour (unfortunately I don't know from whom🤔🧐🤷‍♀️, but thank you very much) and expanded it a bit, because so close to the Kalmit ⛰️ you just have to take "😜 them" with you 😅.
We started in St. Martin on a parking lot that costs € 3 per day, I think that's okay. As soon as we were en route, Komoot lost the route 🧐, so, thanks to the second mobile phone, we ran a modified route that was just fantastic. We walked a lot in the forest and had pleasant temperatures as a result. In between there were great views, but because of the advanced season it is just very hazy. It was a successful day of hiking and at the end we rested on the loungers for an hour, what more could you want?

Took another hike today after the weather should be cooler and rainier again 🥶🌧The goal was around the 50th parallel near Waldacker and before that I picked out a few highlights in Komoot that I wanted to go to.
Come on then, I thought to myself. What I was not aware of, the distance between the individual points that I wanted to visit is quite large (I have not checked). At least for my tours that I usually do.
Since I'm a bit handicapped for long stretches ... well ... I can already see that today 👨‍🦯
But nonetheless, it was a great loop, apart from some boring and not so nice sections of noisy and busy streets.
I can definitely recommend it, is also good to do as a bike tour 🚴‍♂️

This year I managed for the first time to pack my bike on the car and not start from Eberbach. This tour had been planned for a long time, and it is more in line with my style of not taking so many inclines with me.
So, always along the river, sightseeing in the adjacent places and without much effort wind down a few kilometers 🚴‍♂️
Despite the weekend, there was little going on on the wide, mostly paved bike paths. It wasn't until noon and on the way back towards Amorbach there were more people on the way, but not worth mentioning 🚶‍♂️🚶🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃🧑‍🦯🚴‍♀️🚴

The four hills are the Godels - Büchel - and Wendelberg, as well as the Hasenkopf, although I was only on the highest point of the Büchelberg. I just circled the others. The title could also have been "All about the Aschaffenburg Clinic" ... but I didn't find that so exciting.
The starting point for me was the Teufelskanzel on the Godelsberg, which I found by chance as a highlight on Komoot. The rest of the tour turned out to be like this ... actually, always follow your nose, let's see what comes.
You didn't notice that much of the street noise in the 70,000-inhabitant city of Aschaffenburg, a lot of nature, few people on the paths, I was somewhat surprised.
