An guten Tagen
Gibt es nur hier und jetzt
Schau' ich nicht links und rechts
Vielleicht nach vorn, doch nie zurück

Ist unser Lachen echt
Und alle Fragen weg
Auch wenn's nur jetzt und nicht für immer ist

11. Butterstadt Church💒Butterstadt is one of the oldest settlements in the Hanau area. Archaeological finds show that Butterstadt was a Roman settlement and belonged to the Marköbel fort. Around 820 it is mentioned for the first time as a "Butenestat" in a deed of donation to the Fulda monastery.
In an interest register of the Seligenstadt monastery around the year 1000 it was then mentioned as "Boterstat". Written documents about the history of Butterstadt, which was owned by the Order of Antonites from the Middle Ages until 1803, only existed from the year 1300.
Until the end of the 19th century, Butterstadt was co-administered by the municipality of Roßdorf. In 1866 the Catholic Church, the symbol of the small town, was built and the community got its own clergy, who also ran the elementary school until 1933. In the meantime, the place lost its political independence again and was again administered by Roßdorf. From 1945 until the voluntary merger with Bruchköbel on January 1, 1972, Butterstadt was an independent municipality.

Today a hike with friends to the Michelbach hiking home and the Klappermühlchen.
The winemaker 🍷Huber has his chopping time in the hiking home until August 15th. A beautiful ambience invites you to linger with delicious 😋 eat and drink 🍷.
We sat there for half an eternity, it was just beautiful. Then we hiked back to the starting point via the Klappermühle.

Today a beautiful Spessart trail from the municipality of Hasselroth. The Spessartspur starts at the Jahnstraße car park in the Hasselroth community. From there the path leads into the forest to the "burned fir trees". The path leads steadily uphill and offers constantly changing forest patterns. Here the path meets the Oberrodenbacher Spessartspur and follows the path over the "Sauloch" up to the "Edelweißhütte" near Gondsroth. Up here there is a beautiful orchard meadow. From there the trail leads with varied views. We hung on it a bit through the fields and then followed the path towards Gondsroth. A beautiful path along the edge of the forest leads back to the starting point in Jahnstraße.Note: The signs for the Spessart lane "Neuenhaßlauer Ysenburg" are supplemented by a red dot to avoid confusion with the Spessart lane from Oberrodenbach.Tip:The tour is particularly worthwhile in spring when the apple blossoms and in late summer, due to the many orchards. The Edelweißhütte near Gondsroth is open from spring to late autumn, on Sundays and public holidays from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
