Today I undertook the final tour of the Wall Trail with Benni von Rosenthal Nord to the Mauerpark. We have now walked the entire Wall Trail around West Berlin. A great achievement for Benjamin.
The beginning of this tour is not as spectacular as the last part from Wilhelmsruh S-Bahn station. The Wall Trail has been rebuilt there. It continues at the S-Bahn stations Schönholz, Wollankstr and Bornholmer Brücke. Now in big steps towards the Mauerpark. Unfortunately it rained from Bornholm Bridge. There I was able to explain to Benni what happened when the Wall came down and what I was doing at that time.
It was worth it that we did this tour around Berlin and experienced history live.

Today with Benni the Mauerweg from the Hst Bus125 Am Pilz to the Hst Tram M1 Rosenthal Nord. It started in very cloudy weather, we had light drizzle in places. Unfortunately, the Berlin Wall Trail does not always go directly past the old location. Autumn makes nature beautifully colorful.
The Wall Trail is always history, when we were in the duck's bill, we met people who said that you had been in the Russian zone. The dead on the wall always make you sad, seeing some memories stolen again. What is oppressive is the proximity of the place Glienicke, where the wall stood directly on the street.

This time it went along the construction-related line of Tram 56. It leads from Hakescher Markt to Riesaer Str. In Hellersdorf. Since it is a building line, I only made the tour as far as Springpfuhl S-Bahn station. From the S-Bhf to Riesaer Str., It is identical to the line of Tram 18, which I already walked on October 28, 2021.
There is always something new to see in the city, as there is a lot of construction going on at the moment. What is exciting about this line, where it leads. At the beginning it's long on the M5 line, then on the M4 and 13. Continue on the M8 to the Landsberger Allee / Blumberger Damm intersection, from there on the tracks of the tram 18. It will probably not be there forever, as there are many There are currently construction sites in the tram network. I only noticed notices in 3 places, at both end stations Hackescher Markt and Riesaer Str. And at the S-Bahn station. Spring pool.

Today made the group hike from Eisenhüttenstadt to Neuzelle Monastery, in windy autumn weather and short, light rain showers. Thank you for letting me be there.
I felt comfortable on this tour, not only during the hike but also during the many conversations along the way. Got a lot of interesting suggestions. I wish you a lot of fun on the next tours.

Today the hike continued from October 23, 21st around the Müggelsee. Unfortunately we were unlucky again, this time there was a replacement S-Bahn from Friedrichshagen. With the bus to Rahnsdorf Waldschänke and on foot to Müggeleck, beautiful view of the Müggelsee. The Müggelsee lido is currently being rebuilt. The children enjoy running in the sand, which is abundant here. At the FFK beach this time no naked people, with the temperatures. The museum in the Friedrichshagen waterworks is unfortunately closed, why is it not on it and for how long.

In moderate autumn weather we went through the Hohenschönhausen industrial park between Gehrensee Str. And Landsberger Allee. You can say it went left and right of the S-Bahn line 75 from the S-Bhf Hohenschönhausen and Landsberger Allee. I was amazed how much green there is here, it doesn't look like that on the map.
I found out what the water is called Marzahn-Hohenschönhauser Grenzgraben. But not what the pond is called in picture 21.

With the Tram18 the journey takes about 25 minutes from the S-Bahn station Springpfuhl to the final stop Hellersdorf on the corner of Riesaerstr / Hönower Str., On foot with a little look around about 2 hours.
It is a typical urban route, a lot of new construction (slab) and a few small houses. The highlight of this line is the Alt-Marahn climb with the windmill.
A lot is being built and rebuilt. The record changes. you don't even think what color makes up.
The streets of the line are wider than Karl-Marx-Allee. There is also art, one asks oneself "is this art or can it go away?"
For me, not far from Helle-Mitte is the most beautiful new facade on the slab. There is also a relatively large amount of green, for my understanding the panels are not as close together here as in Hohenschönhausen, nor are they that high. It's all more airy, I think

Date / meeting point: November 7th, 2021, 9 a.m. at the Eisenhüttenstadt train station, west of the level crossing, at the Glashüttenstrasse bus stop. / Beeskower Str.
Directions: from 7:21 a.m. Berlin Hbf with RE1 to Frankfurt / Oder, then continue with RB11 in the direction of Cottbus
Return trip: 3:59 p.m. or 4:59 p.m. from Neuzelle train station to Berlin via Frankfurt / Oder
Please join together in smaller groups for cheap Brandenburg-Berlin tickets if you wish. This time the initiator is hiking friend Axel (, with whom I arranged a joint tour in his home town Eisenhüttenstadt a few weeks ago according to his planning. I myself only know part of the route and I'm really excited about it.I also offer you this group hike because the regular group tour in November in the Spreewald was booked out so quickly. In addition to the komoot users who already expressed their interest a few days ago, we also invite some users personally. On this tour we start in the socialist planned city Eisenhüttenstadt, the youngest city in Germany designed on the drawing board. After a section through the city it goes over the Neuzeller Landweg and then through a valley along the Diehlograben, then up to Möbiskruge. The river is followed on beautiful paths through the Dorchetal to the Schwerzkoer Mühle, then it goes on to the unique 'baroque wonder of Brandenburg', the Neuzelle monastery. We have not planned a stop on the way, so please think of your own rucksack provisions. You hike in any weather (except in really extreme weather), you hike independently and bear the risks yourself. The route profile is not particularly demanding, but it does add up to a few meters in altitude. Please signal by accepting the invitation that you will be there. Please unsubscribe if it doesn't work out so that we can keep track of the number of participants. We look forward to this tour with you in a rather unknown hiking area in Brandenburg.
