      "Father's Day Tour" -Westphalian-Three-Lakes-Tour-70km
Starting in Bad Bentheim, from the good parking lot in the spa park, through Bentheim and right on beautiful paths at Tüschenbrooker Graben to a part of the Bentheim Forest. 4km through the and then 8km through the Brecht farmers past Ochtrup to the small town of Welbergen, already in North Rhine-Westphalia. All on good, solid roads, which then continue on 8km in Sellener Feld to Burgsteinfurt.
Burgsteinfurt is a place worth seeing with a beautiful Westphalian old town, moated castle and leisure area on Lake Bagno. On the way back first with the Münsterland railway line 8km on a great cycling route in the direction of Rheine to the "Bahnhof" Sankt Arnold, where it then goes on the Haarweg past the fishing lake 5km to Neuenkirchen to the Offlumer See. Popular and beautiful outdoor area with a swimming lake, lake cafe, etc.
Past the lake to the small farming village of Haddorf with the next lake in the leisure u. Holiday area Haddorfer See. Also popular with cyclists for a short or long break - :) Right next door is the small town of Ohne on the Vechte and from here on the Ohner Diek through the Ohner Desert and a piece of Bentheimer Forest back to Bad Bentheim. With a sporty ascent on Ochtruper Straße to the market square and down again through the city park back to the spa park.
Very nice, varied tour and maybe finally again with a moderate, warm wind - :)

Tour-27-05-21-After Else at the Quendorfer See and to the forest farmer in the Bentheimer Forst-56km
Start on the premium cycle path on the Vechte in Nordhorn and on proven paths through the Grafschafter farming communities past the Tillenberge nature reserve, where the sheep "tend" the juniper heather again and thus provide the raw material for the production of herbal schnapps. So whoever drinks a Grafschafter herb juniper, the "stuff" comes from here - :). Past the town of Engden through the Drievorden landscapes to the beautiful Heidefeld at the edge of the forest to Quendorfer See with the restaurant and cafe "Else", where a good to go service is offered and is also very popular. On a rustic, but very beautiful route in the Vechte Valley to Schüttorf and here in the Bentheim Forest on a great forest route 4km to the Bad Bentheim spa park. On the forest route is the forest farmer with a restaurant, cafe, etc., but. . . and a to go offer is probably not worthwhile here at the moment. Through Bad Bentheim with castle and castle past the holiday park to the Waldseiter peasantry on good paths to the Syenvenn area, where the paths then become worse. Shortly before Nordhorn at the Birkenvenn a short detour to the border and back on the Grenz-Fietspad.
A small, beautiful Grafschafter afternoon tour in not "normal" weather - :)

      Plan-6-21-Rhein-Tour-Rees-Xanten-am Niederrhein-74km
Start in the small town of Werth between Bocholt and Isselburg, easily accessible from the A3 / A31 via the B67. On beautiful side roads e.g. through the Kalfurter Heide 10km to the Reeser Meer and 5km further to the beautiful city of Rees on the Lower Rhine, great old town on the Rhine promenade! 1km over the Rhine bridge on the B67 to the other side of the Rhine, past the Rees sports harbor for 12km to the neighboring town of Xanten, first at the Xanter Nord-u. Passing the South Seas, great routes, driving in beautiful landscapes! As in Rees, it is worth looking through the town in Xanten, but also very "well attended" when the weather is nice!
Back to the Bislicher Insel with the Rhine ferry and along beautiful dike paths to and over the Vahnumer Baggersee in the Diersfordter Forest. Here the paths are a bit more "rustic", forest paths flat - :), but easy to drive, also on the further route through the Wittenhorster Heide to the small village of Wertherbruch in a drainage area of the community of Hamminkeln. At the same time on the Issel back to the start / finish in Werth.

Tour-26-05-21- May 1-Tour- Boundless and Corona-Compliant--;) to the Dreiländer See-62km
After a little "border control" at the NOH / Denekamp border crossing, 7km from the county through the Syenvenn area, beautiful landscape, but not always good roads. It gets better on the forest side towards Bad Bentheim, here in the farming communities Hagelshoek and Sieringhoek past Bentheim into the Gildehauser Venn. A beautiful nature reserve with different bike paths on 8km to the Dreiländer See, but overall good to drive, but less for "narrow" tires! The last 2km through a beautiful forest area lead directly to the lake, where cycling is unfortunately not allowed on the beautiful circular route! But with a little consideration you can also find some ways to the lake here - :) Usually my way back leads in the border area on the NL side via Losser etc., but today completely Corona-compliant, first back through the forest area to Ochtruper Diek, which is very beautiful leads on a Fietspad on the edge of the Venngebiet to the monastery Bardel am Forst Bentheim. In the forest today, right through the middle of the forest path, here a sign warns of wild boars with "freshlings", which usually leads me to a little detour, but is a very nice, solid sandy path through the forest, I will now probably again drive more often - :) Continue on beautiful side roads up to the Mühlenberg in Gildehaus, with the Ostmühle and great foresight into the Münsterland. With a rapid descent through the village to the Nordhorner Weg and 10km on a good bike path back to Nordhorn.
Nice bike tour, not only on May 1st - :)

      Tour-25-04-21-Ems-Tour-Heede-Lathen-Walchumer Marienapark-68km
Start in Heede an der Ems from the good parking lot at the Heeder See and down the Ems in a southerly direction to Lathen. 8km on the finest canal cycle paths right along the Ems to the Emstal Marina Park at Walchum, a great place worth seeing, also with the Herzogsee, a quarry pond with a bathing beach, etc. Almost opposite on the other side of the Ems is the place Steinbild with the Emsbrücke which allows a very nice view of the place. Here the Ems branches off with the Dortmund-Ems Canal to Lathen, again 8km of beautiful paths on the D-E Canal with the Düthe lock. The place Lathen is known with the former magnetic levitation train and next to the old test route for the train a nice route runs for 8km parallel to the Ems back to the height of Steinbild, past the place Kluse, in Steinfeld again over the Ems bridge and on a parallel way back to the Ems according to Heede. Finally, a small loop on the beautiful Ems cycle path to the Herbrum lock, had to be of course - :)
Very nice Emsland tour, with a brisk East Frisian company and beautiful cycling weather, more is almost impossible - :)

Tour-24-04-21-Canal tour-to the "Airport" Klausheide and "Bomb dropping place" NOH-Range-46km
Spontaneously following the good weather, enough for a short afternoon tour on the Vechte Canal to the Ems-Vechte Canal along to the Klausheider airfield past the bomb training area-Nordhorn-Range, at the weekend always a "gun break" and thus in peace on the beautiful canal along. At the Segel-u. Motor-Flugplatz-Klausheide it is always a matter of luck with a "flight show" and with even more luck the "ice cream man" is there - :) Today both were non-existent! The way back parallel to the E-V canal on the edge of Klausheide on Immenweg, unfortunately on bad roads, past the farms with pig breeding etc. and to the sports facility of the SV-Vorwärts Nordhorn. Back at the Ems-Vechte Canal with a short tour of the city of Nordhorn through the trade and industry park (GIP).
Nice afternoon tour, was worth it (!)

      Tour-23-04-21-Emsradweg- Emsbüren-Salzbergen-Haddorfer See-74km
From the county into Emsland on good bike paths next to the quiet K5 to the small town of Engden, but with a beautiful village church and a beautiful courtyard cafe on the outskirts. . .
On the Engdener Kirchweg 8km to Emsbüren, good cycling route on the edge of the "Engdener Desert" forest area, but not always good road surface and finally with a sporty ascent to Emsbüren.
The route leads straight through Emsbüren, but it is also worth taking a look at the "center".
In the Emsbürener farming community of Mehringen near the Ems, the Ems cycle path then runs through the Mehringer Heide and Ahlder Forest 8km to Salzbergen, always with a little distance to the Ems and sometimes rough paths, but in a beautiful landscape. The farmer's cafe with In, t Hürhuis with swing golf, corn maze, etc. and the pier for the Ems ferry to Listrup are along the way. In Salzbergen you start from the Ems cycle path with a beautiful route through the Steider landscape and on the edge of Gutsforst Stovern to Haddorfer See, a popular camper and leisure location on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia, runs directly through the 1st and 2nd lake !
You continue in NDS to the small place "Ohne" on the Vechte and on good bike paths on the L68 towards Schüttorf in the Upper County. Behind the A31 at the Vechte-Wehr very nice 3km in the Vechte valley on the Vechte to Schüttorf, just a shame that you have "forgotten" the bike path for the last meter - :) Again briefly on the L68 and at the turn to the Vechte to Schüttorf watch out for a moment, it goes steeply over two small bridges, but then continues very nicely on the Vechte. From Schüttorf 10km on good paths with beautiful landscapes through the Quendorfer and Neerlager peasant communities. Before Nordhorn over a beautiful Vechte bridge and on the good bike path of the K27 past the nature reserve Tillenberge to the Vechte, with the zoo and Vechtesee back to the Almelokanal.
Nice bike tour with a calm 18 "C, can stay that way - :)

      Tour-22-04-21-Niedergrafschafter Tour - Hard on the border-52km
From the border town of Nordhorn or 10km directly on the border path to Lage and Neuenhaus in the Niedergrafschaft. The border path runs between the Frensdorfer Wald (D) and Bergvenner nature reserve (NL) and is a popular Fietspad for Dutch and German cyclists. Very nice to drive in the summer months! In Neuenhaus you can drive very well along the city moat to the mill pond and city park with the beautiful water mill at Haus Brünemann, a popular excursion destination.
Via the Vechte 2km to the neighboring town of Veldhausen, from here 7km on very good bike paths on the L45 through the Niedergrafschafter and Osterwalder landscape to the south-north canal, which runs with beautiful bike paths directly along the canal to Nordhorn. The first 3km are typical sand canal paths, but otherwise 8km
solid ways to do everything very well overall. The south-north canal runs in Nordhorn into the Ems-Vechte canal to Lingen in the Emsland, which is also a beautiful cycle path. This tour branches off in Nordhorn from the canal to the Vechtesee and Vechte canals.
Small but nice "exercise tour" after a "long dry spell" with a glimmer of hope in the weather sky!
And adhered to the limits (!) Not that easy if you are used to it differently - :)
