What is the Großer Roßkardtsee doing in Groß Köris?Today I cycled to a lake where I used to spend a lot of time swimming, fishing and sometimes we had wild parties there. I was amazed at how the lake was developing. The small beach is perfect, the fields of water lilies have grown and the poultry on the lake chattered happily to themselvesWell, while I'm here, I'll go to Teupitz. I took my time and discovered many corners that were still unknown to me.
On the way home I drove to the Motzener See.
I can only warmly recommend the chain of lakes around Teupitz and Groß Köris.
Groß Köris is very easy to reach by train from Berlin, but also from Munich, Hamburg or Buxtehude. 😉

Does that have to be now?In slightly cloudy weather, I started hopefully on my last stage.
The first thing I wanted to do was visit a museum, but unfortunately it was closed. All right, so off to the laundromat. Hmm, don't open until 7:00 a.m. on Monday. Okay, saved a lot of time, which I then use differently.
When I left the city behind me, I found myself on quiet and easily navigable dirt roads. It was drizzling, but could live with it, because the bike bags' moisture protection was tested right away. It was just stupid that the test program also included rain levels 3 and 4. I didn't order it that way. Peter opened all the gates and it was raining terribly hard. Unfortunately, my way led me on a busy main road that served as a diversion for the A9 and it seemed like there was a traffic jam on the autobahn.
The rain test was ended after three hours. About time. My quintessens from all over? The hiking pants dry faster when cycling than when hiking .;)
When I reached my destination Weihenstephan, the last few hours were forgotten and I was very happy that I reached Weihenstephan without any real problems! The last ten days have been full of surprises and I've gained a lot of new experiences. It was just great !;)I hope you enjoyed it a little and I can only say. Just drive off. The beautiful things are often closer than you think .;)When I'm at home, I'll create another collection and say a few more words about the trip. Why Weihenstephan and so ...

Diversity is the icing on the cake. For the first ten kilometers I cycled on an official cycle path again.
      In Pielenhofen I turned ...
I was happy about it, but maybe it was my arrogance that made me fall. I don't know if there is a bicycle god, if so, he wanted to show me how stupid it is to leave a bike path. For the next few kilometers it only went in one direction, upwards. Great! In the forest it was no longer drivable and my snail-like speed made me a favorite for the mosquitoes.
But the nice thing is when you are on other paths again, you greet each other and now and then there are small conversations. :))
At some point I reached the village of Mindelstetten and took a longer break. I sat on a bench and got into conversation with an older man and told him that I wanted to cycle to Ingolstadt. "It's going to rain today." My apps says something else ... He was right. Shortly before Ingolstadt I reached a beer garden and it started to rain exactly that minute. Relieved, I went through the restaurant into the beer garden and thought I was in Mallorca. Bachelorette party, and the boys were already doing well. :) It doesn't matter, let the guys celebrate and drive on a thousand times better than in the rain.
Dry but also pretty broken, I reached Ingolstadt. :))

What kind of ponds are those in the Upper Palatinate? After a light night of partying with the host of my accommodation, the tires literally stuck to the bitum. I was very happy when I was able to leave the road and again lead across meadows and forests. After a while, I noticed that not a single soul was on the move. The streets were empty, no farmers were working in the fields and the villages were deserted. Did I miss something?
My path led me deeper into the forest and became wilder and so did my route. Okay sometimes I doubted myself what I had planned again. I also had the “pleasure” of pushing my bike very often. Here's a little tip. I have mounted bear paw pedals and wear light trail running botts. So I have a secure hold even in difficult terrain, otherwise I would have been very pissed off very often.
I rode the last 15 kilometers or so on an official bike path. It drives extremely well, but honestly not my thing. Well, it is also not completely safe if a horde of e-biker tourist groups thunder towards you and they cannot cope with the speed. Oops!
When I arrived in Kallmünz, I was enthusiastic about the town. In the evening I climbed up to the castle and used my camera for the first time on this tour.
And what about the ponds now?karpfenland-oberpfalz.de/oberpfaelzer-karpfenKallmünz:de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kallm%C3%BCnz

The no things make a trip. After a top-class breakfast (to the white swan (sometimes there must be surreptitious advertising;)), the wild ride continued. I thought ... First of all, a few meters of altitude for refreshment. Basically I did another lap of honor around the city. I'm already used to it. When I finally got to the top, I was able to enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Upper Palatinate and took a photo of Wurz before the road finally decided to meander towards the valley.
When I got to Wurz, one of the moments was what makes a trip like this. In Wurz I saw a vending machine from a distance. I thought. It was a vending machine, but sausage, ham, and liver sausage in glasses were for sale. Really crazy! Across the street I saw the butcher's shop. Class!

In Neustadt an der Waldnaab I'm through quickly, because I wanted to get off the busy road again. But it's not that I found the city stupid.
We continued along the Waldnaab on a bike path. I left it after a while and drove on on the tractor paths of the local farmers.
What can I say, right decision. From a distance I saw a young dog romping around in the way. How stupidly he stuck his snout in fresh haystacks and peed against one or the other molehill. He saw me and started running. As a dog dad, I was sure he didn't want a fight. It was like that too. Excited as he was, his tail wagged him more than he did. Mistress noticed and hurried over to us. We chatted briefly and I drove on.
In Weiden in the Upper Palatinate, I only had one free encounter with a mountain ...
In Schnaittenbach I took a longer break and started talking to a cyclist. "You can do that to Regensburg 80km." Thank-you.
I cycled to Hirschau and found a nice place to stay there. Surreptitious advertising in this regard until tomorrow evening .;)Here is some more information about Hirschau:de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirschau

After a crisp ascent, it went straight to the Czech Republic. In the Czech Republic I drove through the cities of Frantiskovy Lazne and Cheb and was excited about the architecture I saw. Here again, very recommendable.
I had the road to Bavaria to myself because it was closed on the German side. The road is being rehabilitated and the cycle path expanded.
I made the first stop in Waldsassen, but not very long. The city seems very, very obese. Several busloads of visitors were carted into town and spat out.
I drove on, took a break on a bench near a farm and "enjoyed" the fresh country air. I reeled the next few kilometers on a federal road and was more than satisfied when I was able to cycle on small, lonely country roads again. The sun was shining, it wasn't too warm and I mostly had a tail wind. What more do you want.
I drove to the delightful town of Windischeschenbach. The place is ideal for day hikes that lead along the Waldnaab. There are also many restaurants, cafes and beer gardens and to top it off there was even a brass band playing.
Here is some more information about the two cities in the Czech Republic:

"It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Klingenthal."This statement by the innkeeper was probably aimed at e-bikers without luggage. Otherwise his tips were very helpful.
I started cycling and actually wanted to do a hiking tour. Very stupid idea. Already in Wernesgrün I said goodbye to the idea, because back then we hiked across a cow pasture on a slope of a mountain towards the forest. Absolutely impossible to get up there. Now I took the landlord's tip and drove to Jägersgrün. At first the route worked, until I found myself on a federal road. Hmm, not an option either, so the GPS was set to hiking and I was finally back in the forest. The friends didn't last long, because after Klingenthal you first have to cross the mountains. The result was pushing on a small, steep ski slope, but it wasn't going to be the last time.
Once at the top, the descent to Klingenthal was exhilarating. :)
In Klingentahl I took a longer break because there were more mountains waiting for me.
Some time later I arrived in Markneukirchen and was enthusiastic about the town. Wow! We recommend.
Shortly before my destination for the day, Bad Brambach, the GPS teased me again and wanted to drive me up a mountain on an overgrown path. Without me and drove an easy way to the goal.Again a great tour! :)Here is some more information about Markneukirchen:de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markneukirchen

The mountains are slowly showing up ...The first destination of the day was Zwickau. First, look at the old town and second, go to a laundromat. The laundromat was on the way to the old town. Unfortunately, it took a lot of time for the washing machine and spin dryer to finish their jobs. So I only cycled past the old town on the periphery. After Zwickau it went slowly into the mountains. Although exhausting, the route led through a very beautiful cultural landscape that was peppered with pretty villages. Highly recommended to "look around" there.
My actual goal was Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz. Yes, it's a shame that there are no more vacancies and I wasn't really in the mood to spend under a bridge in the village. I drove to Wernesgrün, visited the brewery and looked for a room.

The sun was laughing and I was in good spirits. :) What should go wrong today? My first stage destination was Bad Lausick. A very nice town that has really spruced up. In the city center there is a small pedestrian zone where you can find small shops, cafes and restaurants to stroll and linger.
My way then became a bit adventurous, it went over a wild bridge that crossed the A72. Ideal for hiking but not suitable for cycling. A few kilometers further, if I wanted to go through a forest, at least that was the plan. The path ended and I was standing in front of a stream that gurgled in a small "canyon". So back again ...
But I didn't have to drive far to see another highlight of the day. Gnandstein Castle. Great !!!
The further path led through a very beautiful large mixed forest and small country roads with little traffic.
Here is some more information about Gnandstein Castle:

Laundry room weather.Last night it rained without end. This morning I was very happy that the sky was just gray. Hmm, happy too soon. The whole day a persistent drizzle accompanied me and the weather APP announced rain again for the afternoon. So I decided to look for accommodation in Trebsen. That was also found very quickly. But as it often goes, the sky tore open ...
This morning, on the way to the first stage destination Torgau, the path led me on rutted forest paths and one puddle rode on to the next. Better that way than when the water comes from above. From Torgau to Trebsen I made good progress on country roads with little traffic.
A little tip. Trebsen Manor :)Here is some more information about Torgau:
