Yesterday we went to Chichen Itza in a minibus. It is the most important city of the late Mayan period (the heyday of the 8th to 15th centuries). Before that we made a stop in a project facility to have lunch. The facility supports two schools (which have been closed for 18 months) and the education of children and young people from the area with sales proceeds. You can buy nothing, but you don't have to. Okay, we bought a little something too. In the pictures you can see lava rock, which is said to have a healing effect. This has to be sanded and polished, for example.
Then we went to Chichen Itza and the rain didn't take long to come. Since bathing was announced later, we took shelter. After 10 minutes of downpour, it was all over. The pictures show the pyramid, the warrior temple, the sacrificial site and the ball playground.

After we first explored the hotel complex yesterday, we went straight to the beach. The wind didn't tell me that I had got a nice sunburn. 🙄 So beach taboo and off to Playa del Carmen. There we strolled along Quinta Avenida or 5th avenue. In addition to a number of frappucinos, we were able to experience the ingenuity of the Mexican people. As an encore we had street musicians, Mayans, a wedding and an artistic troupe. The approximately five kilometers are very varied and recommendable.
When I arrived at the hotel, I wanted to save the tour, but Komoot got stuck and I had to start again briefly, so the taxi ride is included 🤨

In cloudy weather we strolled towards the old town. The announced rain was not long in coming. In a covered street cafe with cappuccino, the first husky was easy to survive. At the second, shortly afterwards, we fled to a department store. Whose restaurant with roof terrace invited to further pictures. The next rain break was deceptive and it didn't take long until it started to rain again. We then took a brisk retreat. 🤷♂️ In the evening you could stroll comfortably along the beach promenade to the lighthouse until the sky opened all the locks at around 10 p.m. Here, too, we arrived relatively dry.
Okay, Komoot throws the added images a bit confused

In mixed weather we drove to the old Hanseatic city of Gdansk. The many well-restored buildings still bear witness to the wealth and beauty of this city at that time.
To be fair, I also photographed a few unrenovated houses from the third row.
As I am a fan of historical buildings, there have been a lot of pictures again, although I have already shown consideration (there are so many beautiful things that there could easily have been 200 pictures🤷♂️). The onset of rain helped
On the way back we found a very nice restaurant in which you can eat inexpensively and, above all, delicious and is also served in a friendly manner. After the slightly buckled wind turbine, we had booked a beautiful sunset 😉

Finally a little break again. We decided on the Polish Baltic Sea. Unfortunately the weather forecast changed so much that it won't be a beach holiday, but we will still enjoy the time.
Kołobrzeg is a lovely little town and there was a lot for us to discover. We were rewarded with a great sunset.

Today I wanted to find a way around the Jezioro Borek. Since I saw on Sunday that there are only unpaved roads, I set off with the off-road touring bike. Unfortunately the whole thing is only worthwhile for MTB or hikers. The existing beach sections are almost all private and fenced. On the way back, I tried another way to Guben in Coschen, but it is not recommended either. Then I went to friends in the garden and we let the day end comfortably.
