This morning after a great breakfast at the Hotel Prinzregent, we drove across the city of Nuremberg to our first destination, the Nazi party rally grounds. The area in the southeast of Nuremberg was called the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, where the Nazi Party Rallies took place from 1933 to 1938. The overall design for the design of the site originated in the basic concept from Albert Speer and in detail from Walter Brugmann, who also led the planning. It covers a total area of over 16.5 km². The area extended between the Dutzendteich train station, the old zoo and in the southeast to the Moorenbrunnfeld. Some of the colossal structures were fully or partially completed and are still there today. The Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds has been providing information on site since 2001.
We drove around the congress hall to see this monumental structure at the Dutzendteich.
Then we are to the main street, where the troops once marched up. The road is 1.5 kilometers long. On one side, the old stands can still be seen overgrown by trees and bushes. The exhibition halls of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center are now also located on this street.
From there we drove along the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal to Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal (also known as the Ludwig Canal or the “Old Canal” in the region) was a 172.4 km long waterway between the Danube near Kelheim and the Main near Bamberg. In a broader sense, the canal, built between 1836 and 1846, was part of a navigable connection between the North Sea near Rotterdam and the Black Sea near Constanța. By crossing the European main watershed, the ambitious construction project took on a special position. 100 locks, some in the Altmühl and Regnitz rivers, managed a total difference in altitude of 264 meters (80 m ascent from the Danube and 184 m descent to the Main). The successor to the canal, which was closed in 1950, is the Main-Danube Canal, which was built between 1960 and 1992.
A great tour along the canal.
Now we have moved into our hotel in Neumarkt.
Today's tour is a great way to start this week.
We look forward to the next tours 😃👍

This morning the four of us drove with the car in trailers from home to Nuremberg to be here on the 5 rivers tour for the next week.
After checking in at the Hotel Prinzregent and unpacking, we set out to explore the old town of Nuremberg.
There is so much to discover here. Many old house facades can be admired here. The old town exudes its great charm.
Well worth a visit 😃👍

Tonight Rolli did his last after-work tour for the local group Bad Zwischenahn. The season lasts until the end of September, but unfortunately Rolli is unable to attend.
I led the great group through the Aueniederung landscape park and through the Ohrweger Busch and on via Ohrwegerfeld to the NSG Dänikhorster Moor. We took the first break there.
We then drove on via Westerscheps and Osterscheps and we took the second break at the Charles Bridge. Some of the cyclists didn't know this bridge at all and were surprised how idyllic the place is here.
We are then on towards Dänikhorst and on Göhlenweg we crossed the floodplain for the second time. In Edewecht we went back on the small train path to Bad Zwischenahn to the starting point ZOB. I was able to bring the entire group back safely in the dark that set in.
As always, my backer Ecki took good care of the group 👍😃.
It's a shame that the season is over again.
So I still have to think about some tours for the weekends 🤔😃👌👍

Tonight Rolli was allowed to lead another tour with many great cyclists 😃🚲👍.
As always, we started at the usual starting point at the ZOB in Bad Zwischenahn. I then led the group via Eyhausen am See, although we as cyclists are no longer allowed to ride here recently 😱. Do I have to get used to it first 😇😂😂😂😂
We then left the Seerundwanderweg in Dreibergen and then drove through the Herrenholz to Helle. We then took the first break at Klöneck. From there we drove through the Gristeder bushes to Wiefelstede to enjoy the ice cream of the day with yew ice cream 😋😋😋😋.
After a little refreshment, we drove back via Hollen to Gristede and took the last break here at nightfall. In Gristede I also decided that I had to lead the group back to the starting point on the bike path along the country road via Aschhauserfeld to Bad Zwischenahn, so as not to expose the large group to additional danger in the dark on the lake trail.
So we all got home safely.
Everyone liked it and I really enjoyed it.
Then there was an after-work drink for the hard core to bring the evening to a fitting end 😃👍🚲

The bicycle promenade is organized by the Hildegard Schnetkamp Foundation and the Edewecht Cultural Office together. The Youth Symphony Orchestra Oldenburger Münsterland e.V. for short JUSOM was founded in 2017 as a joint orchestra of the Kreismusikschulen Cloppenburg, Vechta and the music school Lohne. It consists of around 45 students and is supplemented by around 12 professional musicians, most of whom are also teachers at music schools.
This morning I drove to Landhaus Friedrichsfehn early after breakfast to meet the other tour guides before the music-loving cyclists arrived to make the final preparations for today's tour.
Around 10.00, around 80 cyclists arrived here to be safely guided to the locations and gardens of the concerts.
We started out in 4 groups one by one and first saw us briefly at the Erna market in Friedrichsfehn, where regional foods have recently been on offer.
I then led the first group out of the village over the cross path through the high moors in the direction of Jeddeloh I.
I was able to tell the interested cyclists something more on some of the establishments along the route.
We then arrived at the first courtyard at the family's old bull stable in Jeddeloh, where the JUSOM strings gave their first concert.
We were all very excited by the music and the musicians. Great.
After the concert there was a snack to strengthen yourself.
Then we continued in the same constellation as on the first stage. The tour took us past the industrial wasteland of the former Oltmann brickworks and the old clay pit to Edewecht, where we left the Kleinbahnwanderweg on the Kleinbahnwanderweg towards Osterscheps at the end of the village and then drove to the second place, the Oellien Garden.
Here we were warmly welcomed by the owners of the garden. The Ensemble Dreiklang from JUSOM played a great concert here.
All visitors were very surprised that a completely different sound was heard here than at the first concert. Class 👍.
After the great concert there was coffee and homemade cake 🍰. Totally delicious 😋😋😋😋.
After the strengthening, we went on towards Süddorf. On the way we noticed very late that a couple had just dropped off without having to sign off from the tour guide.
We were then able to continue our journey.
We then drove over the old Schoolpadd back to the Kleinbahnwanderweg to the bridge over the coastal canal. Since the bridge is still closed, we then had to follow the cycle path along the federal road 401 to Husbäke and then cross the B 401 in the large group at the traffic lights and then on the little-traveled road behind the coastal canal to Jeddeloh II drive to cross the coastal channel there again.
Then we went to the Schafdamm where the third place, the Kahle garden, is where the third concert of JUSOM's Dammer Töse was to take place.
Here the young men play a wide range of rock and pop with drums, drums and xylophones.
Here, too, the audience was totally enthusiastic and asked for an encore again.
After the great concert we drove back to the starting point in Friedrichsfehn.
All visitors and the organizers were very satisfied.
Then we 4 tour guides sat together at the country house and let the evening fade away with delicious food.
Everyone went home happy and satisfied
