On Saturday December 18, we will organize a Grally from Kamu Bikes & Coffee in collaboration with komoot in the beautiful area around Breda.
The komoot Grally Breda is inspired by the Alleycat races of bicycle couriers. Competitions where knowledge of the road network in a city is crucial.
For the komoot Grally, route planning skills are more important than being able to cycle quickly. So it's not about speed or about finishing first. Unlike an Alleycat, the Grally uses komoot to plan the smartest route and they don't cycle in the city but on forest and gravel paths.
The aim is to plan the most efficient route possible on the basis of checkpoints. We will announce these checkpoints and the other rules during a webinar on Monday evening, December 13. Based on this, you can start building the routes.
At the start you will receive a number of additional assignments to perform along the way. You participate as a duo. The pair with the best route planning skills wins.
You can start between 10:00 and 11:00 from Kamu Bikes & Coffee in the center of Breda. Coffee and cake is ready for everyone. The finish is at Brouwerij Frontaal in Breda, where a nice beer (or other drink) and a fresh delicious hamburger await you. Of course you can linger in the Frontaal brewing cafe.

In this stage we cram three weeks of Tour de France. This results in a colorful mix of everything that Breda and the surrounding area has to offer. From windy polders and tight asphalt roads to cobblestone strips, country estates and wooded areas. Do you miss an ascent from the hors category? No worries, because the Brabant Le Mont Ventoux (the bridge over the A16) is also included. We put together this route for our annual Tour de Fransje, a combination of a tour, competition and festival that is organized on the last Sunday of the Tour de France.Nice if you once cycle along with this annual Breda cycling party. With this route you can already start exploring!
