Here it goes through the flat Lußhardtwald to the nature reserve Kohlplattenschlag near Karlsdorf.
Here you can watch the bird life in peace at three observation stations.
The nearby Sieben-Erlen-See can actually only be reached via the leisure facility. The rest of the bank is under nature protection.
The Karlsdorf quarry pond, on the other hand, is easy to reach, but there is still active dredging.
A flat tour - this is nice to drive even in strong sunshine, as there is a lot going through the beautiful Lußhardtwald.

In my youth you could travel with the Odenwaldbahn from Heidelberg via Meckesheim to Mosbach by train. In 1971, the Aglasterhausen - Obrigheim section was shut down by the German Federal Railroad.
I wanted to see the remaining stretch from Aglasterhausen through the Schwarzbachtal to Meckesheim by bike.
But now you have to come to Aglasterhausen first, for this I chose a route via Sinsheim-Rohrbach to Neckarbischofsheim and past Bargen and through Asbach to Aglasterhausen.
The old station in Aglasterhausen was opened as a through station in 1872. Today it is a terminus of the Rhein-Neckar S-Bahn.
From the Aglasterhausen train station it goes via Helmstadt to Waibstadt. Further along the railway line you come to Eschelbronn through Neidenstein. The road from Eschelbronn to Meckesheim runs along the railway line, but I wanted to stay on cycle paths and therefore had to take detours. From Meckesheim I drove a little further on the former railway line in the direction of Schatthausen. At the top of the oak forest, however, it turned left to go home.

Today we went through the Kraichgau again, but as far as possible off the standard routes. These were also well traveled today.
It's nice to see when spring shows its first sprouts.
Due to the many hills, the tour was also exhausting.

Today was the perfect weather for a tour of the Palatinate. With my tour guide from St. Ilgen.
The Rhine bridge is making progress, but it will certainly not be finished this year.
In Germersheim we only took a short break to compensate for the calorie loss.
On the way back we drove around Kirrlach through the forest.
All in all a nice round.

The tour was actually planned for Easter Sunday, but that didn't fit my property management's schedule!
Today I tackled it again and it was to be expected that no flight operations would be allowed due to the Corona requirements. The route led via Wiesloch to Walldorf. I skipped the Walldorf airfield and the model airfield - a visit would have been possible without any major detours. Passing Reilingen you can get to the Hockenheim airfield quite quickly.
The Herrenteich model airfield can be found near the Ketschau. The Herrenteich sports airfield is within sight here. At the Herrenteich itself - everything is closed!
Behind Altlußheim the storks are apparently already breeding, the nests are usually only occupied by a sitting stork.
My next port of call is the Oberhausen model airfield, everything was locked here too.
I drove to St. Leon on the most direct route possible, with the great weather the path through the forest is a great S0 trail!
There was actually a pilot at the St. Leon model airfield. After a short conversation, we continued in the direction of Rauenberg. From the bike path you can see the Rauenberg model airfield - no one at the place.
A nice round for cyclists who love to fly!

The brook tour starts with the short piece along the Waldangelbach to Mühlhausen. Through Rettigheim you come to Östringen and here via a loop over the Altenberg to Odenheim. The Katzbach flows through Odenheim, which is followed by the cycle path to Kreuzbergsee.
From Kreuzbergsee it goes over a hill to Elsenzsee. It continues through Adelshofen to Richen.
Here we follow creek number three, the Elsenz to Hoffenheim. Another hill to Balzfeld. Now it goes along the Leimbach to Dielheim. Another hill and you are at the starting point.
The weather was bearable and punctually at 5:00 p.m. it started to rain - this was also announced in the weather forecast.

After all, it's Easter and there is always something nice.
The cool wind made it easier to 'warm up'.

I and my tour colleague Walter have been waiting for the day to do a little tour together for a long time. Since Walter knows less of the Kraichgau, we cycled past the Dachsen-Franz Cave into the Great Forest near Hoffenheim.
On the way home we drove over the Tairnbacher Galgenberg and past the Rotenberg Castle.

On the tour I just wanted to avoid people in a calm way - it worked out great!
Hardly any traffic and great farm roads. Due to the many small hills, the tour is a little more strenuous than in the Rhine plain but the descents are also fun.
