With a view of the sea you follow the coastline to Landhaus Gut Oehe, a good opportunity to stop by.At Exhöft, the picturesque landscape of the Wormshöfter Noors will cast its spell over you. It is particularly beautiful here at sunset. So stay a little longer.

Not far from the Geltinger Birk nature reserve and the Geltinger Bay, this small round through the fields invites you to discover small secret paths. In Niesgrau you leave the bike path on the road and drive via Winnery to Lüchtoft. From the rolling hills you can even see the Baltic Sea in the background.Sometimes you drive on small, paved roads, sometimes on field and forest paths. The last piece from the Holzkoppel back to Niesgrau is historically interesting, because there you drive on a former railway line through the forest.

You follow the bike path, which sometimes leads along the sea as a narrow path, sometimes as a gravel path. The view of the bay is just lovely. You drive back via Gut Ohrfeld and Koppelheck, where you can enjoy a delicious cake in Café Kranz. Then it's only a stone's throw back to the beach, where you can relax a lot.

The 31-kilometer GulyThingTörn takes you through small village ponds and romantic courtyards. Here you will find pure nature and idyll. In the middle of this idyll there is a place where you can experience several thousand years of history: the Guly-Thing.Your route begins on the outskirts of Kappeln. You meander through the ice age landscape from one farm or village to the next on field roads with little traffic. Time and again, small forests and streams loosen up the landscape.About halfway you will reach the Guly-Thing. For Nordic peoples, the thing was something like a parliament and court at the same time. Elected men from a tribe regulated life together. The Guly-Thing has been faithfully reconstructed. In the immediate vicinity you will also find a rune stone and a dolmen, i.e. a stone grave consisting of bearing stones and a ceiling plate. The way back to Kappeln runs through pure idyll again. When you have arrived in Kappeln, you can make a detour to the old town at the end of your tour. You can fortify yourself with smoked eel and fish rolls right at the harbor.

Your 33-kilometer trip to the Baltic Sea dykes begins in the sleepy village of Gelting. There you will find ideal parking at the Birkhalle in Wackerballig number 4. You follow the salty sea breeze for about half an hour until you reach the Baltic Sea. A seemingly endless beach and the sea await you here. In good weather you can even see the Danish coast. On natural paths you drive six kilometers on the Baltic Sea dike, listen to the waves and feel the wind. You follow the path to just before the mucous mouth. The estuary is a sea bird sanctuary and closed to humans all year round. At the beginning of the protected area is the bird guard's hut, where you can find out about the flora and fauna. Now you drive along the bank of the Schlei and reach the pretty town of Maasholm with its idyllic harbor and romantic thatched roof houses. The way back to Gelting runs through the quiet hinterland, past small farms and hamlets.

The 25 kilometer-long GeltingerBirkTörn is all about the nature reserve in the Geltinger Birk. You start in the pretty town of Gelting. There you will find an ideal parking space at the Birkhalle in Wackerballig number 4. The center of the village has been the brick church since around 1300. About a kilometer away is the Geltinger Castle, which is one of the oldest aristocratic courts in fishing. Although the castle is privately owned, a detour is still worthwhile. After a few minutes on the bike you will already reach the Baltic Sea and thus the Geltinger Birk nature reserve. Right at the entrance to the Birk, the Charlotte windmill attracts attention. It served until 1971 to drain the Beveroer Noores and to grind grain. On nature trails you drive along the coast around the nature reserve. Reed swamps, salt marshes, dunes and seagrass meadows form an excellent biotope for the flora and fauna. A sandy beach several kilometers long begins behind the nature reserve, so don't forget to pack your swimming gear. Finally, it goes back to Gelting on small roads.

Today's cycle tour is all about fishing. The many manors and manors testify to a rich history and the slightly hilly landscape testifies to the last Ice Age in Schleswig-Holstein.The 27-kilometer fishing trip begins in the idyllic town of Gelting. There you will find ideal parking at the Birkhalle in Wackerballig number 4. Small hamlets are on your way through the landscape formed by the Ice Age. Typical for this area are the many small fields that are separated from each other by so-called kinks. After about half of the way you will reach Gut Rundhof. The late baroque mansion was built on the site of a 13th century moated castle. Today the huge building is privately owned, but concerts are held in the domed hall in summer.Shortly before you reach the Baltic Sea, it is worth making a detour to Gut Oestergaard. It is located on the eastern edge of the Steinberg community and was built in the mid-19th century. In addition to farming, the owner family also runs a café.The path directly on the Baltic Sea is a bit bumpy and narrow, but offers you wonderful views of the sea. Take your time and maybe push the bike a bit so that you can experience the impressions that nature gives you even more intensely. At the end of the coastal path you will pass the Geltinger Birk nature reserve before you reach your starting point in Gelting again.

The name of the tour through the rolling hills of fishing and along the Baltic Sea says it all: again and again, you will be offered wonderful views. Sometimes after a small incline the view suddenly falls on the wide-opening Geltinger Bay, sometimes after an inconspicuous curve a secluded beach panorama suddenly appears. You start in the village of Steinbergkirche and drive on small, paved side roads via Niesgrau to the Baltic Sea. Once there, in addition to the fresh sea breeze, a great path through the forest and along the coast awaits you. A detour to Gut Oestergaard is worthwhile for a trip to the corn maze.Sometimes you drive along the coast, sometimes a little in the hinterland, where you can always enjoy a beautiful panorama of the sea. The landscape is constantly changing: moors, forests and meadows are your companions on the PanoramaTour. Of course, you also have the opportunity to jump into the water on one of the sandy beaches. After you have left the Baltic Sea behind you, there is a gentle climb to Scheersberg. In the middle of the village stands the Bismarck Tower, built in 1903. From the 32 meter high tower you have a wonderful panoramic view over the fjord to Denmark. You are now almost 90 meters above sea level. From here it is a good ten minutes by bike to your starting point.

This short hike is more like a longer walk, but still extremely natural and offers you many suggestions to relax and take a deep breath. The only challenge, however, can be to find a parking space at the starting point in Steinberg, which is not that easy.In the best case scenario, you shoulder your picnic backpack and then it's “Eyes on the road”. This is to be taken literally here, as the first one and a half kilometers of the tour run on a small tar road between fields. Here you can comfortably watch the farmers at work or call the residents a friendly "Moin" before you get on the more natural part of the tour. From the street you can walk straight ahead onto a small path in the countryside and after a few steps take the first rest. Then it goes on freshly strengthened. Here you walk wonderfully soft on grass between bends, fields, meadows and a small forest, which you then enter. Along a small stream and past a duck pond, it then goes through the eponymous village of Stürsholz, where you can sit down briefly on a bench again. Turn briefly and you will see cute thatched roofs with rose bushes and great green gardens. The grass hiking trail now leads you particularly idyllically between paddocks with typical northern German black and white cows and again very varied through woods and hedgerows. Here, too, several benches have been set up so that you can choose a picnic area. Due to the grassy ground, the walk here can be a little strenuous, however, so that the two kilometers may seem longer and the end of the hiking trail on a small information board about the "Stürsholz landscape path" may even be quite appropriate. There is also a bench with plenty of space and a view of the wide paddocks with many cows and their cute calves. The best place for a picnic! If the last piece of provisions is consumed, then it goes on again on the road. Along a few holiday homes you walk about one and a half kilometers back to the starting point.
