The sixth stage of the northern route of the Trans Bayerwald first leads you to the historic Trifterklause Schwellhäusl restaurant with a wonderful beer garden in the middle of the forest and then out of the national park and to the Großer Arber. The ascent of the "King of the Bavarian Forest", at 1,456 meters the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest, challenges your calves - you will be rewarded with a wonderful all-round view: to the Czech Republic, over the eight thousand-meter peaks, over the national park and near good weather conditions up to the Alps! You can also strengthen yourself on the summit before the tour continues over the Reischflecksattel and down to the Lamer Winkel, past Lohberg with the Bayerwaldtierpark. In the destination Lam you can cool off in the Osserbad and strengthen yourself for the next day.

The seventh stage of the Trans Bayerwald-Nordroute makes you sweat right back at the beginning. First it goes steeply uphill in the direction of the Great Osser, then follows up and down through forests, past the Hohenbogen, the famous pilgrimage Neukirchen the holy blood and through the market Eschlkam in the dragon city Furth in the forest - the destination of the last leg of the northern route. If you are well trained, then a detour "Around the Hohenbogen" is worthwhile on the way - a conditionally challenging round trip with many highlights. In Furth in the Woods you can visit the Dragon's Cave, the home of the world's largest walking robot, or take a dip in the cool waters of the Dragon Lake.

This stage ends in the municipality Lindberg in the district Zwieslerwaldhaus. A little further along the main road leads the way to the historic Trifterklause Schwellhäusl and from here about 3.7 kilometers on the "Arberland-Runde" (marking black no. 50) to the border town of Bayerisch Eisenstein, where you will find more accommodation options.

Pure nature and culture - the fourth stage of the northern route of the Trans Bayerwald has it all. From Mitterfirmiansreut you first head to Finsterau, where you can visit original historic buildings mainly from the 18th and 19th century in the open-air museum. Then you dive into the forests of the oldest national park in Germany and literally experience the newly emerging forest wilderness. In the National Park Center Lusen with animal sanctuary, Hans-Eisenmann-Haus and treetop path you get a variety of insights and views into the nature of the National Park. The aim of this stage is the old glassmaker Spiegelau. Here you will find the natural outdoor pool, the Kneipp spa area and - as a special tip for families - the extensive forest play area.
