Let's go on an alpine crossing from Oberstdorf to Merano in South Tyrol.

Day 1 to warm up with a small afternoon tour around Oberstdorf ...

Day 2. By bus from Oberstdorf to the rear Kleinwalsertal to Baad (runs every 10 minutes).

At the final stop it goes up to the Alm, where you can stop off. The landlady is quaint and very nice.

Then the steep ascent of the tour begins at 1,930 m, where the Hochalppass is.

Day # 3: Today was a demanding tour with a lot of altitude.

You start in the Plötzigtal, always above the mountain slope to the rear end. Here you usually run in the shade of trees.

The ascent starts at the end of the valley. With every meter the view continues.

Day 4: Start is in Umhausen, a small holiday resort in the Ötztal. There is a beautiful forest pool and an open-air museum about the prehistoric times in the Ötztal. Next door is a bird of prey show.

Day 5: Start is in Zwieselstein, Sahnestüberl stop. This is an alpine hut.

The first steep ascent begins behind it. You get about 200 m higher and have a beautiful view back into the Ötztal.

Day 6: Start is in Saltaus, bus stop. Opposite it goes up the mountain on the Meraner Waalweg. Here you walk along the mountain in the shady forest towards Merano. There are wide views of the valley.
