As you head inland into the mountains from the French Riviera, a completely different world opens up before you with traditional mountain villages and ancient, dusty trails. It’s a stark contrast to the fast-paced glamour of the Côte d'Azur. This is the home of Mary Moncorgé. Surrounded by countless single tracks, she found it challenging to choose the ones to include in this adventure: "We have great trails here, but some are extremely difficult and not suitable for all riders,” she said. She opted for a route that is great fun for those exploring the Alpes-Maritimes for the first time. “This route suits everyone’s taste. It’s representative of the area and, at the same time, it’s not too difficult.”

With views from the top of the mountain to the Mediterranean Sea, the dry, dusty trails are awesome for all levels of riders. Tired, smiling and covered in dust from the trails, you will end up asking yourself why you need a car at all when you can also ride an E-MTB?
