The venerable old Hochgratbahn with its post yellow cabins brought us up to the so-called Nagelfluhkette today. @Marcus: The feeling is already tearing. But it's not as dangerous as on some other steep slopes ... at least that's what I think.
Did a nice tour in my West Allgäu hometown. The Hochgrat is more or less the local mountain of Wangen im Allgäu, my hometown. From there you have wonderful views of the Hochgrat and the Nagelfluhkette. In my youth, I often climbed the Nagelfluhkette and the surrounding mountains. Beautiful photos. I…
@Franz: You grew up in a wonderful area, the Allgäu is simply fantastic. But as you have already seen, my home, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, also has its own wonderful charm.
