Nice quiet round, no spectacular views, but a lot of forest and large clearings. Very quiet and relaxing, good paths, occasionally forest workers during the week and mountain bikers at the weekend.

Beautiful round through small valleys with streams and across wide meadows with a view of the Eifel heights. Parking in Houverath at the parish hall.

Great short circuit with a great view of the Rhine, Eifel and Neuwied basins. About 60% shady in the forest, but also sunny sections. The signposted restaurant 《Krahnenburg) (cafe, beer garden) does not exist in 2020 (construction site, partially demolished, no activity recognizable)
Nice flat round from Heidelberg along the Rhine to the cathedral in Speyer and back over the Schwetzingen palace gardens. On the way there some shady sections in the alluvial forests, back quite sunny. At the moment the traffic situation behind the Rhine bridge is unclear because of a construction site…
